He was a 4-star out of HS. Looked like Miami and t.u were interested during his portal time

Wish him success. State has low-key had some solid defenses these past few years.

Defense rarely is our issue. Besides against Bama. If we pull another safety from Texas this year in the portal (Foster), we’ll have a very good defense next year. Could be a fun year.

Marcus Banks could’ve been playing for us in the bowl with all the injuries in the secondary and certainly would’ve been in the two deep next year.
He’s just been behind Jobe and JAD with Koolaid and a JUCO kid all fighting it out for time.
He’s a solid piece and a good pickup, wish him well in Starkville.

Banks was one of A&Ms top targets put of HS when he committed to Bama. It was considered a pretty big loss not picking him up.
Another in a long list of Texans who chose Bama and barely saw the field who probably would have started at A&M.
