A&M fans have been the ones throwing a fit about Texas joining the SEC. They’re the ones throwing a fit about possibly ending up in the same pod as Texas. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t want to play your in-state rival. The best revenge is beating them on the field every year. Why wouldn’t y’all want that?

I guess LSU fans not having an in-state rival program in a P5 conference clouds our perspective. I would love it if UL, La Tech, or Tulane was in a premier football conference and played us every year with competitive and entertaining games.

Texas vs Texas A&M was one of those “identity” games for college football. It’s one of those games that people tune in to see because it’s one of those college football rivalries that contributes heavily to the identity of the schools, fans, and football as a whole. It’s right up there with Army/Navy, the Iron Bowl, Ohio St/Michigan, Notre Dame/USC, Florida/Georgia, etc as far as importance to the sport and entertainment value. Why would A&M fans not want to do anything to make that game happen? I wish LSU had a rival that mattered that much to us, but we don’t. We have to contend with being hated by everyone, but not be anyone’s number 1 villain.

Much more entertaining to watch them grovel. Their AD has tried multiple times to re-start the game and even solicited the press for cover. Reason why? Nothing to do with history or tradition. Simple fact is/was their home schedule stinks...rancid.

Ags know the game will renew. We're waiting for Deloss Dodds to die.
