Had we hired him, do you think we would have been looking for Sam? I don’t. I think we could have been as good as we are now with him too.

I fully expect Coach Traylor to be hired (one of these days) by an SEC rival and win nattys there. I mean, it would be the most Arkansas thing ever to happen.

He is 19-6 in 2 years, it’s a legit question. He was the obvious choice of who we should have picked over Morris on that staff.

Nah the Arkansas thing would be if it was Barry Lunney.

he is a great coach and without morris taint would have been great, but kids hated morris and may not have responded to a culture shift the way they did with pittman

He would have been associated with Morris with the current players.
I'm not sure anyone can replicate what Sam has done from a culture standpoint. His positivity and general love for his players is hard to match.

One of the biggest shots in the arm for Pittman was the fact that he was well respected nationally among coaching circles and thus could field a top-notch coaching staff.

I'm not sure Traylor would have been able to pull that off.

This all culminates in a lunney v traylor championship and questions of how we couldn't win with both on staff. Mark my words now folks

I meant if the coaching search firms were worth a shite, they would have got us Traylor before Morris.
