Yeah, with the way most top end recruits are conglomerating at the same few schools now, current DBU is basically "Who got the most top recruits?"
I'm a little annoyed with this tbh. Some of these guys would be a lot better off starting within a year or two at a Utah or Iowa where they're really doing a good job developing with less. More and more it will be NIL focused.
The lack of a salary cap in NIL is going to be an issue that will eventually need fixing if we're even remotely interested in competitive balance, because I believe NIL is going to only mature and become more focused with the Have's.
I really don't like the idea of college football becoming a bidder war for boosters.
