As soon as a player puts in his name, by rule, the university doesn't have to renew his scholarship. It's that simple.

If you're good enough to be wanted, you can go free agent. If you're not - you can't.

No different than sending out a resume'.

Just look at Quinn Ewers. He made $$ and was only at Ohio State for 4 months. Now he going to Texas, his real choice and gonna make more money. I see more players doing this

Yea but sports generally have a governing body with rules in place to try to ensure a level playing field and keep the sport emtertaining.. What we have now is free agency in the NFL with basically no rules and no salary cap.
