Because let's be honest, Arkansas is not a destination job.

Ok, then let's also be honest that neither is OU. Reilly made that clear with either a lateral or step down to a bad PAC12 team. Maybe it was at one point, but not now and certainly not once the cupcake diet gets replaced with raw meat in the SEC.

This move would make no sense if BO wants to be a H/C. His rep as a DC doesn't need polish and he would get much more mileage from making a gutted program competitive than getting OU back to where they think they already should be.

OU has lost one HC to another college football team once in our history. I know for a fact that is true since WW II and folklore suggests in our history. If that isn't a destination job, by all means, give us your definition of a destination job.

And Mentioning Rily, the same coach that is being trolled by nearly every team not in the PAC for running from the SEC. Which in case you haven't noticed, is something OU hasn't done.

Not worried about Odom making a lateral move

I am shocked that he isn't looking to get back at being a HC again.

He will be at some point.

I’m surprised all these schools are wanting him as a DC. All I heard from Truelefty and Mizzou fans was how bad of a DC he was

Oklahoma is going to get dick stomped in the SEC.

Lincoln knew it and bolted.

That is why the HC wants to bring in Barry Odom. To help him get to know what the SEC is like. That is a smart move on the HC and his brother is there would be great to be together again.

Not as a DC but as a HC. There is a reason why he was fired at Mizzou!. Not a good HC. maybe down the road. Right now he isn't ready yet.

Oklahoma won’t win the SEC for their first 30 years in the league.

Maybe he'll hang around for year 31.

Are you talking about the same Missouri school that won two division titles in the Big 12? A feat they matched in the SEC in 2 or 3 years? In my lifetime, OU has won six nattys, how many has Missouri won in your lifetime?

Destination is somewhere you go to, not leave from to go somewhere else. Didn't think that word was a source of confusion. Pretty sure I don't have to go back more than a few weeks to provide an example of an OU coach doing that. Who cares what happened back in 19-whatever. Supports my assertion that OU may have been in the past, but not today.

I have no response to the 2nd paragraph, since I have no idea what you were trying to say.

Damn you are old AF if you’ve seen and remember 6 national titles.

First of those 6 happened in 1955. Means you would have been born in 1945 to actually remember the 55 championship

OU has one NC that I remember in my life

Again it has happened once, most of the people on this same board are trolling Riley. But of course, you have to talk smack whether it makes sense or not,

LSU Fans said the same thing last year, and their program is superior to OU. If Barry didn't leave for LSU, I doubt he's going to OU.

He would've been coaching under o on the hot seat.

His brother is on the oklahoma staff and they are from there.

That appears to be the case, yes.
