Jeff Lebby is the poor man's Kendall Briles. If it's true he called plays all year as reported, how does his leaving Ole Miss change that calculus?

OU with Venables and Lebby > OU with Riley and Grinch IMO.

Does Kiffin go back to calling plays?
Do they hire Joe Brady?

It’s Lane’s offense. The OC doesn’t matter. Next question.

Lebby had trouble scoring in the red zone and he was not a very good recruiter. If he leaves, I am sure they will find someone else.

Lane scored at FAU without Lebby, but let’s be honest, it IS a big loss….

No, it isnt. They ran Baylor Offense most of the time. It's a melding of Lebby and Kiffin.

Your take is a simpleton's take.

Next poster.

It's a totally different offense, but, I agree. I see Lane as a coach who keeps trying to get better and improve his system. Why wouldnt he take on Brady and have them teach each other and meld it up with even more concepts.

If I were an Ole Miss fan, I wouldn’t worry about losing Lebby.

If I were a Clemson fan, I’d be shitting bricks about losing Venables.

Correct. It’s a mixture of lanes WCO and Lebbys RPO.

Lebby has been a huge key to their offense.

LSU had one in 2019 and won a natty. The can say what they want but Lebby is a huge part of that success

Lebby is getting out before the rebuild. Smart move.

Yeah, I don’t get this at all, but lots of them are doing it. We have some real numbskulls in our base.

I don't think that's entirely true. Kiffin has changed a lot over the years offensively but Kiffin + Chaney looked nothing like Kiffin + Lebby. Kiffin has grown as a playcaller over the years and I still think you're going to see a ton of passing but I think he's still closer to what you saw at Tenn and BAMA than this year's OM. He's great at scripted openings but he doesn't call plays full time. I don't think he suddenly drops off but I think things will be different with a different OC.

I think he helps tremendously with the scheme for the game, but has trusted Lebby more with playcalling.

If he has to go back to being all in on offense, the team will suffer. Hc needs to stay above the fray to manage the entire game.
