Regardless of what happens in a potential rematch, let’s at least go kick the shite out of Michigan.
frick everybody except Georgia

Rather play Michigan first anyways. We match up well with their strengths.

Or we'll beat michigan like we should then lose again to bama in the title game. Set your watch to it.
At this point it's not really difficult to see the reality of our situation.

Not everything has to make sense.
Remember your Zillow story about your condo they bought, then relisted it for like $300 more than they bought it? My neighbor just did the same thing, sold to Zillow, and they are relisting for the same price, and they actually did do some renovations. There are things going on that we don't understand.
Besides, I like our chances in a Bama rematch. Rematches historically favor the loser of the first game, for whatever reason in the universe we don't understand.

your Zillow story
and if you google you will see zillow fired like a quarter of their workforce in that sector. Their algorithm or whatever they used to try to get into the flipping space failed miserably so they had to lay people off since they realized they fricked up and were bleeding money.
This is no different. Yesterday SHOULD be a wakeup call to a coach that is not only intelligent but also not stubborn as a mule. Everyone with eyes can see what needs to be done. Whether it will be done is anyone's guess.

Maybe if the teams are evenly matched, but with stetson at QB we are not evenly matched. Bama squeaked one out against UF in 99 in teh swamp then beat the shite out of em in the SEECG. Ditto for LSu against us in BR in 03 then in the SECCG.
It took bama about 1.5 quarters yesterday to really figure us out and dominate. What do you think will happen when we play again if we make no personnel adjustments? They'll have us figured out in 0.5 quarters. In game 15 you are what you are, there's really not a whole lot of guesswork.

Agree but at this late stage, what can you do at QB? Do you switch to a guy who missed 5 or 6 games completely and then was only played for a few minutes in the last several games?

What happened in 2017 when we got blown out by Auburn only to blow them out 3 games later.

We made a switch on the OL since that was a major issue in game 1. We also stopped running directly into the center's arse and went more out wide. In other words, we saw where we fricked up in game 1 and fixed it for game 2.
The problem here is that your example is almost entirely scheme/game plan related whereas the present is heavily personnel based.

So Bama has lost One of those all world wrs.
4-5 plays changed that game.
Stay with the run game, take a shot every now and then. On defense mix up the blitzs and jam the wra.

I disagree. I think Kirby should have schemed more RPO with QB keepers early and often. Bama stopped it once and then we gave up on it. That's scheme, not personnel. We know what Stet's strengths and weaknesses are, so you have to scheme for that. Kirby/Monken did not.
Despite Stetson's absolutely horrible game, we still managed 24 points vs a playoff team. If the defense had done their job, 24 would probably be enough to win, despite Stetson's horrible performance.

yes and that surely helps us. What is so perplexing is that it was clear early on that they didn't have a run game and their TEs and bolden weren't going to factor in much, and that their entire offense was literally 2 receivers. And yet we couldn't/didn't cover them. They were running WIDE OPEN every play. I don't know how.
What's also befuddling is that it seemed like for at least 2.5 quaters we didn't really even attempt to put pressure on young. It feels like we watched the same tape any fan in america saw and realized that if you blitz, pressure, and play man you can rattle young and shut down their O, so we thought "hmm, surely bama knows we'll do this, so they'll probably switch things up to XYZ, so we need to play defense to stop XYZ" but the reality was they didn't do XYZ. We just played soft adn tried to stop young from runing (which he hates doing) and he carved us up. He's a phenomenal pocket passer and we played zone and didn't pressure him...it's almost incomprehensible what our coaches were thinking.
The ONLY thing that makes me feel even remotely ok is that we will devour that game film and see how utterly retarded every person in the game plan was and do what we shoudl ahve from the start.
Our offense was alright, but it would be better with the superior QB. How many teams have won a national title lately with a walkon QB that will never even make a practice squad or play one minute in the NFL? None I'd imagine.

2020:
Bama had one of the best teams ever in CFB. QB is starting for the patriots. 3 all-world receivers including the heisman winner. Great OL including a dominant center to negate our interior DL. Excellent defense as usual. Playing in tuscaloosa. We have a really good defense.
2021:
Bama has a sophomore QB. Are a ball bounce away from being 8-4. Have 1 loss and EASILY could have lost 3 more. Multiple overtimes to beat a team we thrased. Poor OL. Weak D. Honestly the worst alabama team since 2007. Playing in Atlanta. We have the best dfense in school history and statistically one of hte best ever.
And yet...the score of both games were identical.
In 2017 we lost the lead against bama in overtime. In 2018 we lost the lead for good against them in the 4th quarter. In 2020 we lost the lead for good against them in the 3rd quarter. And yesterday we lost the lead against them in the 2nd quarter. Anyone can see that we are getting worse by the year in every matchup against them. WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHIGN DIFFERENT. Trotting the same guys out against their same guys and just running more RPO aint gonna fricking do it. They have our number and if we want to win we need to put in a guy that can take a game over and that sure as shite isn't stetson bennett.

Yeah and Brock Bowers sucks too. He broke off a route while Stetson already had the ball in the air and it ended up being intercepted instead of a first down, or at worse an incompletion with perhaps a PI call. Could have been a game changer, but Brock fricked up. We can't beat Bama with Brock Bowers as our leading receiver.

Baker Mayfield came close, Tom Brady might as well been a walk on at muchigan based on how they treated him.

baker started as a walk on but played a 2 major D1 schools and was a heisman finalist and high draft pick that is still in teh NFL as a starting QB years later
Bennet started as a walkon that has played D1 and that's the end of it. To compare the 2 of them is laughable. Bennett will be lucky to be hired on by a local insurance company in blackshear when he leaves UGA.
