I give Smart an incredible amount of credit for recognizing the need to have him on our team and getting him back from Junior College Land. How many other coaches would have made the effort to get a player like Bennett back on the team, give him a scholarship and have him prepared to step in when fate decreed it?
An amazing story. If/when we win it all this year, Stetson Bennett will be the greatest story in college football, imvho.

Very little of the Rudy story was based on truth. A friend of mine was a starter on that team.
