I mean given that Baker was our “lockdown” corner I don’t blame the safety much because he did get looked off and ensuring the middle of the field is covered against the LBs in man coverage is a higher % call than knowing Smith would abuse a Thorpe winning corner. You can see the opposite field corner play bail coverage at the snap though. If Baker wanted to man up and try to lock down in that situation you absolutely can’t let this happen.
