Michigan and Alabama, the two winningest programs in the history of college football, competing in the Rose Bowl for the right to play for a national championship. While it is true that we played Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl back in 2021, that game was played in Dallas because California was still locked down. This year it's going to be back in Pasadena, making it the first true Rose Bowl game we have played in since 1946.

That was BCS National Championship Game. It was held at the Rose Bowl but that wasn’t the actual Rose Bowl Game. The “Granddaddy of them all” was Ohio State vs Oregon.
