Winning the SEC East back to back is easy, the West, not so much

Florida won the East 5 consecutive years during the Spurrier heyday. (92/93/94/95/96).
Tennessee then won it back to back (97/98)
Florid then again won it back to back (99/00).
UGA won it twice in a row (02/03).
Florida had another two year run (08/09).
UGA did it once again (11/12).
Missouri has just done it (13/14).
There has only been one true repeat West winner
Alabama (08/09)
Alabama won it three straight (92,93,94) however the 93 "win" was actually a 2nd place finish behind probation Auburn, thus you can discount this streak.

In a 6 team division only 3 teams have done this
Tennessee - dumpster fire since the fat man left
Florida - dumpster fire since UM left
Georgia - snatching defeat from victory since the 1980's

Just shows you how far at least 2 of the others have fallen.

Why don't you dazzle us by adding the years those back to back East Winners beat the West winner. Its funny how often people forget that the East had its dominant period also. Everything is cyclical.

The state of alabama pumps so much money into college football now that you have to expect AL and AUB will be in the race every year for the foreseeable future.
UGA and UF will always be around as well. The talent in these states is undeniable. SC and Ten are a tier below GA and FL when it comes to recruits.

Here is the underlying thing that all the posts like this mask though:
Any Rant poster who says they ever thought Mizzou would win back to back division titles of any kind, ever, when they joined the SEC is completely bullshitting. Completely.
The fact the discourse has shifted to listing and comparing Mizzou accomplishements to past accomplishments of UF, UGA and UT suits me just fine.

To be fair, M basketball does not have divisions, but the early chatter indicated an early dominance by Mizzou in this sport which of course did not happen.
Here is the bigger question...
Was it better or worse for Mizzou to lose to Auburn last year? Say Mizzou beat Auburn then got beat up by Free Shoes U. Would Mizzou taken more heat for being the school to break the SEC dominance chain?

If you can grab a conference title trophy you grab it under any circumstance. Rant bickering aside, the conference pride here is such that most would defend the conference champion's subsequent bowl performance whatever that might be and try to cast it in the best light. And even if they didn't, mizzou fans wouldn't care we would just circle jerk around the sec trophy.

Go Look at Mizzou's W/L Record since 2007
