This will not do the SEC's reputation any good at all. Think of SMU and the old SWC regarding the scars that left...not that I think the SEC would fold however other conferences already think the SEC is the most corrupt conference present.

It would be terrible for Auburn to get the death penalty. I don't want that to happen and don't think it will, but if it does, there's nothing any of us can do.
I do agree that it would not be good for the SEC.

Problem with your theory is that SMU WAS the SWC at the time of the Pony Express and the eventual death penalty.
There are 4 bigger teams historically than Auburn in the SEC.

I don't give a hell about the SEC. I'm sure none of yall were pissed when AJ was being investigated because it kept the SEC in the papers. If it doesn't involve Georgia (or vanderbilt I guess, God bless 'em) then I hope everyone else in the league gets in major NCAA trouble.

It is what they get for cheating OR It is what they get for being dumb enough to get caught.
Programs that take the "high & mighty" route usually are the ones doing it very dirty.

Any other school I would care, but after reading the crap au fans have been spewing about Alabama and cheating and going as far as hiring PIs to follow around Alabama players and their families, I hope karma is having a hell of a time with them.

SMU wasn't the SWC. They were a johnny-come-lately with a few great seasons when the SHTF.
They were historically the 4th or 5th best program, if that.
