You need to get in the top 15 by the end of the day, and the top 8 by the end of tomorrow to make the match play rounds.
Feels weird putting Texas and Oklahoma in the SEC, but we need to get used to it. Very glad to have you guys!

Looks like it's playing a little more friendly today than yesterday. Carolina off to a roaring start.

Yes that will make it way more interesting, every team on the course is at par or better.

College golf format is confusing. Why not just do total strokes?

Matchplay may not always Crown the most deserving champion. But it is by far the most exciting golf.

I think today is the last round of stroke play which is 54 holes so I think you have to be in the Top 8 by the end of play today to advance to match play

Incorrect. The top 15 make it to tomorrow and then it gets cut to top 8 for match play.

Going to be a nail biter for the 8th spot today.
Vandy is currently hanging on to the 8th spot at +10 with Alabama only 1 shot behind them, A&M 2 shots behind them, and Auburn 4 shots behind them.
Florida is a lock for the Top 8 at this point.Vandy, Bama, A&M, and Auburn have the best shots of getting into the Top 8. Georgia and Arkansas need to do something special today to get in. The rest of the SEC teams probably have too much work to do.

My bad then. That's good for all the aforementioned SEC teams then. Obviously the closer you are to the Top 8 after today the better going into tomorrow

Today is a scramble to make top 15. What I was curious about - on this course it favors teams going off early - I wasn’t sure if they had top 15 go off early or late today - but they had top 15 go off early. Thats fair. So the bottom 15 will have to play in worse conditons to fight for a top 15 spot by end of today. Its going to be a tall task for most but not innsurmountable if close enough

I posted in the other thread but it fell off page 1:
This is the Golf Channel broadcast schedule for the finals at Grayhawk (all times ET):
5 p.m. on May 29: Final round/individual stroke play
Noon and 5 p.m. on May 30: Quarterfinals team matches; semifinal team matches
5 p.m. on May 31: National championship team match
Finals play consists of three days of stroke play on Friday, May 26 thru Sunday, May 28 (54 holes), after which the top 15 teams and nine individuals not on an advancing team will be determined. That is followed by a final day of 18 holes of stroke play on Monday, May 29 to determine the top eight teams that will advance to match play as well as the 72-hole individual champion. The team national champion will be determined by a match-play format that will consist of quarterfinals and semifinals conducted on Tuesday, May 30, followed by finals on Wednesday, May 31.

Florida, Vandy, Auburn, Texas A&M, Alabama, and Georgia finished in the Top 15 after today's round and advance to tomorrow's final stroke play round.
Florida is almost a lock to finish in the Top 8. Realistically, there are 9 teams playing for 3 spots tomorrow.
Vandy, Auburn, and Texas A&M have a great shot at finishing insude the Top 8 if they play like they did today. Alabama and Georgia need to do something special tomorrow to climb back up to the Top 8.
