Kentucky Basketball Legend Cotton Nash passes away at 80.

He played MLB and NBA before Bo and Deon. He was one of thirteen who did so. His white-blonde hair earned him the nickname of Cotton. He was a three-time all-American at Kentucky in basketball and all-SEC in baseball. He also threw discus.

On a personal note. I served on jury duty with him back years ago when I was a college student. He played before my time, but I had heard everything about him from my dad and my relatives. He a was very down to earth, unpretentious, good guy. Extremely likeable and was quite nice to a college kid on his first jury.

He was one of the first multi sport athletes. He was a great player and a great man. RIP.
