South Carolina, what happened to turn your football team around in 2022?

You guys were absolutely the worst team we played, and then you started playing awesome the next week IIRC. Thank goodness we played you when we did or you would have kicked our arse up and down the field.

What was the difference, and why couldn't whatever happened, have happened sooner?

They made Satterfield simplify the playbook he used and changed his personnel groupings to keep the best players on the field. Too many plays and way too many groupings. He had a habit of calling plays that hadn't been practiced in weeks. Classic so many toys and options he couldn't call a coherent strategy (We need to run a jet.....hey squirrel). Despite what was said after each of the last 2 games, I am firmly convinced Shane not Satterfield called the plays the last two games.

What happened? The Tennessee defense laid down because of an internal matter and Clemson was overrated. That’s exactly what happened.

Wait, so the offense was too complicated early in the season and they simplified it later in the season? That is the complete opposite of 99% of the teams who add wrinkles to the offense as the season goes along.

Alright, I don't believe this, so you are going to have to explain this further please. What was this "internal matter" and why would they lay down when they had not done that all year?

And let me add, that I thought Tennessee's defense played their hearts out even when they weren't playing well they always brought intensity, which I think is a testament to the coaching staff.

It was 21-16 going into the 4th quarter. With a final score of 44-30. Hardly an arse whipping when you were 10-point favorites at the time.

Yeah but that is the story at least . Satterfield had something like 500+ plays and 60 personnel groupings ( if I recall the numbers correctly) and after the UF game Beamer told him he( with Beamer overseeing) would not be retained and then he simplified the play book and I think cut it to 10 personnel groupings.

Tennessee and Clemson were both cream puffs. Florida whooped our arse that game.

50% of 30 is 15. You only scored 14 points more than us. So no, you didn't score 50% more than us. I know math is hard for you.

bullshite excuses concocted by fans about getting your arse kicked are even more delicious than the reality of the arse kicking sometimes

It looked to me like you guys were just disinterested in the season altogether. I don't know, it was a remarkable turnaround.

We left our LB at home. He was the heart/soul of the D. Our secondary was never that good. That's what he's talking about.

But I think he's wrong as well. The difference that game was Rattler just couldn't miss. He had two great games where he was just on fire and it helped our secondary was never too good.

If we bring Banks it's a different game but who knows if it's different enough.
