Why does every other team in college football have short intermediate pass routes except auburn? If the line sucks so bad why not have quick routes? Everything is 10-15 yard slow developing pass plays. It's no wonder Thorne is getting killed. He takes 12 seconds to locate an open receiver. Every team that plays us runs these short routes all game long and eat our lunch doing it.

Agree. He had PTSD by that point though.
I have been defending Thorne up until today, but I was wrong.
He is not the whole problem, but he is definitely part of it.

There were plenty of those called today. Guys were also open. The call to Coleman was there. It wasn’t a good touch pass, but it hit him in the hands. If he caught that, it was a 15 yard gainer at least. Other times, the guy would be open then covered. The ball has to be delivered quickly in those windows.

Auburn is just a bad football program and I am not sure how one would fix it. 5 straight losing seasons under 3 coaches indicates systemic institutional problems.

Ponying up for a Cam Ward type QB would be a major step in the right direction. Instead, Freeze was too full on himself thinking he could prove people wrong about PT.

It’s game 2 of year 2. He’s had one full recruiting class. If you’re ready to fire him at that point then our program is going a lot lower than it is.
We talk about Harsin devastating the talent in the program. Then turnaround and don’t expect any problems less than 2 years later?
