don’t get the Willis criticism - he’s looked pretty damn good against a decent P5 opponent with far more talent.

And he just beat Virginia Tech. 7-0. People can criticize all the want. Malik is a great kid and a solid player.

And has fumbled at least 3 times today, lost two.

He also had 3 passing TD’s, over 100 yards rushing and a rushing TD.

Plus they won 7-0.

Freeze totally outcoached Fuente at the end.

Both coaches made some bonehead calls late in that game.

Thank God. Please don't let this turn into a "hire Hugh Freeze" thread

I'm happy for Willis!

Yes, I questioned going for a 59-yarder, but I guess Freeze figured the odds if it being blocked and returned for a game-winning TD were minimal. He’s lucky Fuente bailed him out.

But made him look foolish with the sideline throw.

That and scoring too fast almost lost the game for him. There was zero reason to score on 1st down. He should have made VT use their time out at least. Down it 3 times and kick the fg.

Fun to watch but bad clock management.

Got to admit, Freeze has done a great job at Liberty. Some other program will offer him this year. Also, happy for Willis. Seemed like a great kid.

Wouldn’t be shocked to see USCe to give him a hard look if they can Muschamp.

I have always hated that " lets call timeout when the kicked is about to kick" BS. Just always seemed silly

Glad to see it come back and haunt someone.

I just don’t knew where we went wrong with Malik. He didn’t even beat out Greatwood.

Well, it was just a bad fit. Plus, he is playing against much less talent right now. Kid is good. I dont know for sure if he is top SEC Talent but he is playing well where he is which I am very happy about.

He really has very little quarterback experience. I think a lot of people forget that. He is learning the position and getting some great instruction right now. Like I said, he is a great kid and I love to see him do well.

Tough loss for Liberty last night. Drove down the field on the last drive and had the field goal to win and it was blocked....

Hopefully the loss does not take the wind out of their sails.... Willis played decent last night but continues to turn the ball over. I think he had 3 ints...

Still a good season for them so far..
