How high are you willing to go on an extension for Gus?

Let's assume he wins Saturday.

Give me the year you're extending him through, Pay increase and buyout structure. Thought it would be interesting to see people's thoughts before it actually happens

We win on Saturday and 1/3 of all of Auburn's SEC championships during our 84 years in the conference have come with him on the sideline (and with Saban across the state).

Give him whatever he wants.

I tell him to keep acting like he owns everyone and talking shite, and I will give him 6.5M per year for 6 with some incentives and a bigger budget to retain or get top assistants.

2 year extension at 6.5m/year. Make the buyout favorable for Auburn.

So... Call his bluff. The personnel returning, current recruiting class, and money to throw around will draw a coach of the same or better quality.

Exactly what a bama fan would hope for so Gus leaves.

5 year extension

6-8M per

20M buyout

Clauses that give him full control over anything football related.

6 years. Saban is getting up there in age. That leaves Boom, Mullen, and Kirby as the top coaches, all who've Gus has had success against (maybe not boom). If Dabo comes in then I still feel like Gus would give him a good battle. We need to pay Steele as well.

My plan will extend him until 2022 and up his pay by 2m a year!

Do you wanna give him 10m a year for the rest of his life??? Y'all have lost it. There is no way Auburn should let Gus hold them hostage like Jimbo does FSU. It will never end, he got a raise and extension that he didn't deserve in 2015.

quite the extension right there

that's a year away from the baseline of "congrats, you are now capable of recruiting"

Leave guaranteed money where it is. Make the deal a 4 year deal with a 1 year automatic extensions. Add incentives to where if he wins the NC, he is the highest paid coach in the conference. If he is middle of the road, he is compensated accordingly. Buyout should be the same if he leaves or if he gets fired; 2x the last year's salary + bonuses.
