Respectfully, 14 years associated with the Assemblies of God as board member was enough
Not boastful here...... I have close family and ties to Georgia High School coaches who know this man and send their kids to Liberty to play for him.
I would question Kiffen and Danders dedication to the Auburn program more than Hugh. We are not hiring a preacher!

Will you support the next coach regardless of how you have them ranked in your own personal list/choice?

depends on the coach. Lashlee, steele or any other meh hire, then no. Prime, Kiffin or Freeze...maaaybe rhule. the rest are consolation coaches that wont bring championships to Auburn

AD from Mississippi St.

Basically seems like an impossibility that he gets the job.
He hired Leach after he locked a player in a shed for 3 hours. So morals isn't a concern of his. Of course, the haters are going to say calling escorts is worse than torturing his players just to say someone else is better.

I will support them but some will have a shorter leash. I'm not going to sit and watch our players suffer because they gambled on a bad coach again game after game. It will turn into watching games waiting on them to get fired, quick, if they hire someone that not great on the field against good teams.

They get alittle slack from the state we are in but if the team isn't improving on the field then I'll be looking for the next coach.

I just don't see Lane being the guy that gets the players to fight to the finish for him like a Caddy or Deion would. I don't even see him being a part of the Auburn culture outside of that office, the fields, and at games.

That's all well and good, but when he insists on doing stupid things like personally contacting the plaintiff in a sexual harassment suit against his current employer, I would hope he would never be considered for employment by my alma mater. For any position.

His repentance is between him and God. But his foolish actions can potentially cost Auburn University millions of dollars. Hard pass.

To be fair....this is a pretty significant part of the reason I'm against Freeze....Except substitute my "clean dirty jokes and cussing" for his hookers.

So it is allegedly and not proven this woman was sexually harassed. Duke lacrosse team comes to mind along with countless other examples.

So could hiring a coach that can't win.

Again. If we are trying to win a game of moral then he's off the list. This is football.

Doesn't matter....

The point is that he, as a completely uninvolved head coach of the school should not under any circumstances be reaching out to her directly.

Furthermore- This is the EXACT behavior that these prosperity gospel, health and wealth mega churches undertake to 'restore' their brethren to righteousness.

It definitely matters. Because it's half the argument haters are using for why we should hire their unproven guys.

Of course he can.
Him choosing to do that particular thing reveals incredibly poor decision making skills.

Its fine that some of you are willing to completely take scripture out of context and reference some bastardized version of your perception of the 'redemption story' to justify blind support of your Saturday idols. I'm just not one of them.

I forgot what I originally posted, but I can assure you that I really don't give two shits who AU hires. There is no such thing as Saturday idols. That phrase is just sad. I hate sports fans. So friggin ridiculous.

I'm just making conversation.

Not what I said. But go ahead, keep reading into what you want so that you can simplify the issue (incorrectly) enough to actually understand it.
