He tells his wife Shania is a little too risqué for him then says he’s gotta do some work in his office and for no one to interrupt him for a while.

I would totally be risque for Shania. Been that way since I was 12 years old.

Did he rally play gospel music

Mostly rumor, and not "gospel music" as we probably think about the Jordanaires or someone singing Swing Low Sweet Chariot or I'll Fly Away.

I think one of the best writers was quoted as saying that during the press access portion of practice that the first song typically played was some type of contemporary worship song (Hillsong, Elevation Worship, Chris Tomlin, etc ).

The only thing which surprises me is how bad he was.

How bad he was is underscored by the offensive score against Vandy once his numbing hand was no longer on the clipboard.

I don't follow CHF's career too closely. Toss my opinions out the window, but his bread and butter is supposed to be high octane offenses. But looking at Auburn's output, and add the stories of Hugh's love of playing golf, it's clear to ME that he had checked out.

This isn't Steve Spurrier we're talking about. Who DID put up the numbers, whose teams DID produce on the field. we're talking 3rd year Hugh Freeze who never had a winning season while at Auburn.

He failed cause he couldn’t evaluate QB and OLine. trying to build a line and not taking a proven QB just didn’t work
