I listened. At least Tony gets it. I’ve heard some straight up idiots asking why Lane would make a lateral move to Auburn. What is it 1960? Old Piss is lateral to South Carolina. Wait, even South Carolina has played for an SECC. Old Piss couldn’t even do that with Eli Manning.

Absolutely.
But I do think he appreciates the opportunity for a number of reasons.
- Auburn's rabid fanbase & unmatched JHS experience
- Auburn's new $100m football facility
- Auburn's $13m in NIL reserves
- Saban is on the way out, a great chance to troll him.
- Also, is the coaching job to follow Saban that attractive?
- Ole Miss- football isn't the event of the day, it's the grove, it's the tailgating
- Regardless of the $ OM throws at Lane, he just got outbid for his assistant, wouldn't happen at AU
