I've wondered that about the recruiting eagle too. It was my first, and the only one I have ever paid for. That was around '97. I've lurked on many since then and don't remember the names. There was mark Murphy's and mark Greens, and the bunker. I remember poster names like sregit, autigerette, JR, austudent22, wolf, etc I remember the AUsockergirl scandal. Some of them have changed names over the years and I have lost track but I am on, lurking, a few times a day.

If someone has a history of message board names I would like to see it.

There was a regular crowd there and fought bammer every day

There was a weird one if anyone remembers, it was Every Day Should Be Saturday (EDSBS). It was more of a blog than a message board, but the comments sections were very popular and it was almost like SECRant before SECRant (I think, I don't know when they each started).

Loved EDSBS. Spencer what’s his name, the original writer was freaking hilarious. And insightful in a snarky sardonic way. Right down my alley. I miss that site.

Spencer Hall. He's still around with Ryan Nanni and Holly Anderson.
