Vegas odds aren't the be all, end all, but -500 is about as locked as it can be. and they didn't start out at -500. they were like -100 or something a few days ago and then moved to -500 about a day ago.
These "new mentions" of Sumrall to UF, OM, wherever are just people stirring up clicks. Sumrall to Auburn has been done for a while now and that's why our search has been super quiet the whole way through.

Cole Pinkston is going full retard. Says his gut feeling is Sumrall is not the hire.
He also places much of Cohen's reasoning on roster retention.

More rumors: UF apparently is moving on and Fisch, Sumrall, and Drink are their top candidates. Ole Miss people are now believing Kiffin stays. If that happens, LSU is going after Dillingham or Sumrall. Also stated that they believe Sumrall was going to Auburn but now Sumrall is backing off and looking at other places.

Why would an AD hire based on who our current players want? Shortsighted. And when I mean current players we are talking about players like Cam Coleman and Atkins which will be juniors next year.

Of course they both need and want clicks, but point is, i put more stock in what Mike G has to say over pink. you have to listen to how Mike G makes his statements, he's very deliberate in how he does or doesn't say something. I don't ever hear him make "well, this is what i think will happen...unless it doesn't" type statements. Just like in the video i posted a link to earlier, he blatantly stated that Buster Faulkner did NOT want to return to GT next year no matter what. you don't make definitive statements like that unless you have some kind of insider info somewhere.
