I truly think we’re going to keep DJ and promote him to HC in order to retain as many players on that side of the ball. Do I agree with that…not really. But with all the turnover where do we stack? We have a track record of firing coaches but at least we pay them.

It just takes hiring a coaching savant in Kill to do it.

Many are the ones who booed Bo Nix and chased him out the door… chanting, “We want TJ!” as they clamored for TJ Freaking Finley to play over a now NFL starter.
I don't even know why I'm still responding to your idiocy.
Bo Nix left after Harsin fired Mike Bobo (who Nix liked, and who his father also liked). Bo Nix had a one-on-one meeting with Harsin after the season concluded, from which he came away unimpressed with the plan for the upcoming season. His plan to leave Auburn was announced shortly after that meeting. Bo and his father correctly concluded that Harsin was falling apart and that there was zero chance that his plan would succeed. Hence he did what anyone with a brain would do and chose to not waste his remaining eligibility to play for a coach that was about to shite the bed and get fired. The thing that you seem to forget is that Bo's father was a coach himself and can therefore correctly analyze the competence (or lack thereof) of Harsin's staff and where his program was heading.
The conspiracy theory that he left because the "fAnS wErE mEan tO hiM" is so fricking stupid that its not even funny. Do you know what Occam's Razor is? Bo Nix left because he didn't want to play for a bad HC who was in way over his head, in an offense that was about to be led by Eric Kiesau. Why would Bo Nix stay under that atrocity when he believed that he had NFL talent and had a chance to go elsewhere to play for a functioning team and actually compete for something?
No, that couldn't possibly be it! It couldn't possibly be that some players are actually not complete idiots and they can make rational decisions in the best interest of themselves! Bo Nix was actually DYING to play for Bryan Harsin and Eric Kiseau on a winless team, it was those damn fans who booed him that one time! That really hurt his feelings and he couldn't take it, so he packed his bags and set sail for Oregon!
Bryan Harsin made Bo Nix transfer you idiot, not the freaking fans.

I still dont like Bo the player. But he and Pat are good people and made the right call for him. I dont know who would argue that.

Auburn simply hired the wrong guy.
Coach Haskin had all the metrics. Best winning record other than Saban; also had that hard-nosed Dye feel to him.
Hindsight, Potato Head was the laziest coach ever. Who the frick forgets a recruit at the Airport
I understand taking one Friday night to watch your son play, but you could have had the recruit come earlier during the day and then let others wine and dine him the rest of the evening.

He was here for 3 years and played under late-stage impotent Gus and Bryan Harsin. He really never should have signed with Auburn in the first place if we are being honest given the state of the offense under Malzahn at that point, but he did anyway because he was a legacy and loved Auburn. The idea that this kid would leave because of the fans is next level stupidity. He left because things were about to get even worse, and at that point he had already given enough to the school and it was time for him to make a decision in his own best interest.

Agree. On another note, UAB would be insane to not hire Pat Nix.

How crazy would it be if he eventually ends up as Auburns coach in the future and has Pat Dye longevity of success.
Things I wouldn’t ever imagine for 200 Pat
