Glad I don't care enough about college athletics to donate to this bullshite.

No worries, already been told I'm not an Auburn fan on here. I'm good with that.

Well alrighty then. Knock yourself out and keep bitching we lose to our rivals. Because if you don’t think money built Georgia and Bama then you are the stupid one.

Good God what a fantasy land homer you are...

You guys are proud of having a few 4* players coming in... Bama has 7 5* coming in. And I don't care if Freeze only had a month. We will not be out recruiting these teams any time soon.

It's funny you think we have chance to keep up with Bama and Georgia. Throw your money at it. Won't help, but you can brag about throwing away your money to the Auburn NIL fund.

Show me one single shred of evidence that Auburn can maintain a championship level team year after year. Just one. Inform me what has happened every time we reach the championship (well the two times in our lifetime that we reached the game.. ). We go straight downhill and fire our coaches.

Oh Freeze is our SAVIOR!!! No, he isn't. Hate to tell you that. Auburn will make runs every 10 years or so, like we've always done. And hope we get lucky when we get the chance.

This whole thing makes me laugh.

I think there is a disconnect from some people and money on this board. Its like it is the magic wand that can change everything. Give a coach more money and just expect him to win so he will. Give more NIL money and all the sudden, we will be a playoff team

If it were only that easy. I have thought the idea of fans donating to the NIL was a weird concept since the beginning. Not because I personally would not be interested in that but just because of the value and the numbers. If a program like Auburn needs 10million a year for NIL (Just a number), that is a drop in the bucket to what the program makes and brings in each year. I know there are other expenses but its not a lot of money. Maybe the program can tighten the belt like all of us do everyday to get the capital they need.

That money should be raised through other means and no through the fans. Its just a weird concept to start with

Even if they are able to raise the money, its not going to mean automatic big changes. It is not automatic.

I think we all know that the current open market with the NIL will change and be adjusted. It will be interesting to see how they do that and then how they police it. The NCAA did such a bad job before, I can not imagine they would be the governing agency over it

Hughflippians chapter 4 verse 1

“Seek ye first big, mean linemen on both sides of the football. Pay whatever the costs. For with blocking and tackling championships are won.”

First, I don't like what college football has become and I fear where it's headed. I would love to get back to the student athlete model, where a kid could get a scholarship & an education, but lack of oversight and direction from the morons at the NCAA has led us here. And now, it's pretty much free agency highest bidder.

I do believe NIL dollars make a difference to recruiting & getting the players we want. Will the subscription model be the final product? I doubt it. I think it'll move to a corporate team sponsor. Someone will do the math and decide that the AT&T USC Trojans will be worth the advertising $. The OTV 20,000 AU fans paying $34 a month will be a cup of water to a forest fire.

And then Brother Hugh kneeled, and said, “God have mercy on me, a sinner.”

I’m not perfect. I’m forgiven.
Hugh’s not perfect, he’s forgiven.

If he fails again, the justice will be severe and swift. I guess I’m willing to give him a chance. At least there will be linemen in the facility IF he gets fired.

Every alum, every faculty member, every student, every staff member, and every fan should live up to the same standard required of our coach.

Would they create revenue based leagues?

For example:
Apple College Football League:
30 highest by revenue teams with 25% revenue for NIL

Amazon College Football League
31-60 by revenue;

Dollar General College Football League
91-130 in revenue

Relegation of top and bottom 10 from each division every 5 years

1982-1990 We were the top dog in the conference. Most NFL draft picks in the country. Didn't always work out for us, but we were elite. It is possible at Auburn. For now though, Saban and Smart and recent past management of the program make being consistently at the top nearly impossible. Anything is possible when Saban retires, if Freeze dedicates himself to recruiting, and can develop QBs.

NIL will have to some how trend to its original intent and it will basically become not that much of an issue - after some lessons are learned. Hopefully there will be more Texas AM situations. Bad lockerrooms.

If colleges can just buy players and the schools manage it, it won't matter anyways. College football will be dead. All the schools with a lot of money will dominate and it will be comical - more so than what happens now. No need to pay attention.

Long after college football dies from NIL, I'll tell my grandchildren that the last legitimate national championship was the 2010 season.

Yep this. I don't think Auburn (the school) is allowed to directly contribute to NIL. The school needs to figure out a way to get some portion of normal booster donations directed to NIL. The NIL needs to be able to offer perks like a booster donation in coordination with the school. This would require the school to have slightly less money coming directly to it though so good luck with that, even though it would benefit the program immensely.
