We are NIT eligible right now. I guess Barbee will need NIT berth to save his job, else Auburn fans will fire him.

So an NIT berth is too much to ask for in 4 years?

Take the refs last night totally out of the equation and both teams were still an utter shite show last night.

It is absurd to blow the whistle that much. Especially when you have a reputation for it, only makes it worse. Then to throw out a fan?
He should be suspended if not terminated from the rotation

Wasn't alot of fans there. Sad since we can still make the postseason

Based on the state of the program when he was hired and player attritution mainly due to violating team rules or legal issues, NIT in 4 years shouldn't be the fire or keep metric. The talent was so bad when he was hired that he had to play Chubb.

I'm not sure which is the worse reasoning for going to see this horrible team play, to pump up football recruits or becuase we are eligible for the NIT right now.

Chubbs sophomore year was barbee's first. Barbee had time to replace chubb.
At least chubb could tell what the score was and didn't intentionally foul in a tie ball game with 19 seconds left.

well we have been bitching about the lack fo committment to basketball. This just reaffirms that we're not committed.

Well chief, that is almost exclusively recruiting. Sure the compliance department threw a few kinks in there, but they didn't hamstring him enough to excuse him starting off worse than Lebo.

You mean the attrition of players he recruited? So he shouldn't get fired because his players got kicked off the team, and the ones he was able to get aren't very good?
Why exactly should we keep him?

A few? The Komara ban effectively eliminated us from recruiting the top players in Alabama. Trevor Lacey was a lock to come to Auburn before we pissed off Komara by kicking his son of the team.

Is that so? Well in that case, 10 year extension.
