I agree, but you're missing my point.

It is like when your fat/out of shape friend runs a 5HR marathon. Sure, I'm impressed they finished cause I sure as heck didn't expect it, but being marginlly faster than my grandma w/ her walker is a pretty low bar long term

That is asking a lot of a guy who can't even get a competent start of his own development.

Oddly, the only coach calling plays for AU natty and runner up natty. But, you would prefer some other coach call plays. Brilliant.
So you think he's still calling plays too?

BTW: Is this the same coach who blew both Clemson games in back to back seasons? And the same coach who'll run the star RB to hurt by mid-season? And the same coach who's been known to call 17 runs on 1st down in a row (and 14 of 12 or what'eva it was passing plays on 3rd)?

Me thinks your giving this coach way more credit than he deserves and NOT ENOUGH to the guys who get the job done despite his sorry arse. The same guys who show up every game, all season long, and without taking the 1st three games off every year.

I could see Gus going to Arkansas. I think that’s probably his dream job.

Gus may not coach AU next year.... but there’s zero chance he ends up the Arkansas HC.

Gus is about as polarizing a figure has you could have in that position.

The score is the score no matter who played and how it was scored....

No shite, but this isn't a discussion on the score

It is a discussion on how well Gus played Bama, even with considerably less talented teams. So garbage time TDs don't mean anything

So if we keep Gus another year, then the very small pool of coaching talent this year dries up becusae of all the opening. Then what do we do next year with the need of a coach and an even smaller talent pool?

Going back to the score....

The score looked like a boat race. You gave excuses...

Bama recruiter "Son I know your considering Auburn but in the last two years they haven't been able to touch us we beat them by 16 and 18 points."

The recruit is not going to look back and see ohh Auburn had to play a backup QB or one of the scores came in the dying embers of the game.

It's funny that you think a bama recruiter has to talk about other programs anymore. They simply talk about themselves.

Yeah, why not keep a shitty coach that makes the same mistakes every year.
I don't want to keep Gus. I'd just rather have him than that mouth breather Pruitt. Pruitt would be a horrible hire.

In what world is losing by 16 a boat race? Spoiler: Not this one

Bama recruiter

What does a Bama recruiter have to do with you not understanding what being boat race'd means?

You are boat raced when you are beaten by more than 2 TDs. 15+ points is a boat race.... You got your opinion I got mine...
