Do you not think that Kyle Davis and/or NCM are more talented than Barge from JSU?
Kyle Davis and NCM combined have 0 receiving yards at Auburn.
Barge had 1145 yards in 15 games
I'm saying talent doesn't matter if it's not on the field and not producing. That's pretty much been the story of every bad Auburn football team lately. Roster packed with talent but getting drilled by teams with better instruction.
I can't help fix you if you believe Davis or NCM come anywhere close to touching that production as true freshman in the SEC. They probably won't even produce more than Ruben Gonzalez did and he was injured most of the year.

what did I say that was false?
You didn't say anything that is true or false. It's just your opinion. Which tends to swing toward rainbows and unicorns.

my lord who pissed in your cheerios? Take it easy there tough guy.
If we have a derp QB again (which is possible), then sure KD and NCM will struggle to break 300 yards for the whole season. But to compare Barge and KD/NCM from a pure talent perspective is kinda silly. I'm not arguing production. Haven't been the whole time. I'm arguing talent. There's way too many variables that go into production for my liking (QB play most notably). If you put guys like KD or NCM on JSU's roster with Eli at QB last year I'd venture to guess they'd do pretty dang well.

All he did was disagree with you

Kyle Davis and NCM are both more talented than Barge. Doesn't mean they will be as productive. The talented Ricardo Louis is proof of that.
Looking at Kyle Davis's workout vids on Instagram makes me dream of the possibilities if his talents are realized though.

No it wasn't. The unicorn stuff he said was pretty dumb. I don't even know wtf he is talking about.

Except that isn't what happened.

If his WRs were better at Jax st
For example, Darvin Adams is a better WR than freshman Kyle Davis/NCM despite having lower talent ceiling than both.
Even so, given our track record of getting zero production from top rated WRs over their entire careers, why do you think NCM/KD can produce year one?
Here are some guys with pedestrian/average careers (or so far at least) who were rated 4*s like NCM/KD
4* Trovon Reed
4* Quan Bray
4* Rico Louis
4* Tony Stevens
4* Jason Smith
4* Stanton Truitt
4* Jaylon Denson
4* Ryan Davis
4* Darius Slayton

Rainbows and unicorns makes me a tough guy?

My point was that he tends to form his thoughts around optimism and wishful thinking than realistic expectations at times

Not trying to be tough. We just fundamentally disagree on what is valuable on a football team

They might do well but WR talent cannot be measured on the field until it is plugged into a system and produces yards. From a numbers standpoint it would be almost impossible for NCM or KD to outproduce Barge from last year.
We would have Eli for one year and the receivers you are mentioning are true freshman. One of which is not on campus yet. I just don't see Eli being able to use that talent next year. This is a different conversation if Eli had 2 years to play.

4* Trovon Reed = should have been a CB
4* Quan Bray = did well in his role and led SEC in PR
4* Rico Louis = possibly drafted
4* Tony Stevens = Bust
4* Jason Smith = converted QB
4* Stanton Truitt = Dude just got to Auburn
4* Jaylon Denson = who?
4* Ryan Davis = Dude just got to Auburn
4* Darius Slayton = Dude just got to Auburn

Now we hopefully have somebody who can coach up the WR. DC was one of my fav. Auburn players to watch.............but he sucked arse as a WR coach.

Have you even read this thread? KK is arguing that freshmen NCM/KD will be better WRs as FR than what Eli Jenkins had.
Talking about first year stats and players we have brought in at WR is extremely relevant.

No he is not.

Are you saying KK is not arguing that or ChexMix isn't reading this thread? Because KK definitely is making the point that NCM/KD are "more talented on their worst day" as FR than Jenkins' WR at JaxSt

Posted on 4/27/16 at 8:30 am to GenesChin
Again, more talented doesn't necessarily mean "better" wide receivers. KK has never implied that our frosh tandom of receivers will be more productive as Barge and the other guy.

Unless y'all were talking rainbows and unicorns, you weren't "only disagreeing with him" like Weagle said. That is where I was getting at. Nothing to do with you being a mr. tough guy.
