Whatever makes us the most money. Our uniforms will stay the same.

Your logic is incredibly flawed . Athletes signing massive endorsement contracts is completely different than a school deciding what to outfit their athletes in. If Nike offered me $20 million and Burlap R Us offered me $100 million, I’m ballin in burlap.
And then when top athletes don't come to your school you can't be surprised. Can't be surprised when they get hurt wearing an inferior product either.

It happens all the time for basketball recruits and that's the reason our own athletes don't wear it to train..they don't want to hurt their feet in bad shoes.

As an observer I have zero problem with UA. Then again I am not out there wearing their cleats in practice. From what I hear, UA used to have shite cleats and AU even contacted them and offered to help redesign them (and UA refused).

However, I am also hearing that UA has put out vastly improved cleats in the past few years.

Other than cleats I dunno what else there would be to complain about. Gloves are gloves. Helmets are made by Riddell. Dunno who makes AU's shoulder pads.

Sure, the cleats (as well as their basketball, baseball, running lines) have improved over the past decade but when your product is literally the worst on the market the only direction you can go is up. Just look at the % of NFL and NBA players choosing to wear UA shoes (not those getting paid to) vs Nike and even Adidas. That alone should settle this debate. Add to it the fact that Nike and Adidas both have a much larger market presence and are viewed more favorably by the average consumer (due in no small part to the staggering % of professional athletes CHOOSING to wear their products) and you see the undeniable affects on recruiting athletes to your school.

On a less important and more selfish note, I’m so tired of having to stomach UAs fan/sideline gear. Their goofy assed designs are worse than the off brand stuff on the racks next to them. Nike fan gear has always been light years ahead. I think our dream scenario would be somehow signing with Jordan due to their high quality (Nike) and niche market placement. It would absolutely have a positive impact on our recruiting and brand perception. Since that isn’t happening I’ll cross my fingers we can somehow get on board with Nike.

Other than cleats
You're on the right track. Its not just football, but it is mostly shoes. Track shoes, basketball shoes, baseball cleats, etc. They might have improved things, but its been within the last year that out athletes have complained about it. So unless those changes are pretty recent, they haven't made that much difference.

Its closer to becoming a Walmart brand than it is getting back to where it used to be imo.

I also don’t think Bruce has had any problems recruiting because of UA.

He recruits well but he has narrowly missed on 10-12 blue chippers. Is it possible Nike could have tipped the scales on 2-3 of those?

Anyone that says Bruce is recruiting well without Nike is only telling half-truths.

We might be recruiting better than historically, but there is no denying that there is plenty of room for improvement if Nike can do such a thing.

Close losses and recruiting success have both characterized post Final Four recruiting classes. Bruce usually averages out to about one big win a year.

My son has played for Under Armour clothed baseball and basektball teams for a few years. He loves the gear. He loves everything except for the Curry's they had last year in basketball. The problem was they all ordered true sizes and as unisex shoes...which is a whole different issue...caused them to all be about 1/2 to a whole size too small. He hated those shoes. He gave them to me after the season. He wears an 11 I wear a 10....they fit me perfectly.

I really like Under Armour gear and shoes now. I used to hate it. I think it's pretty high quality stuff.

Under Armor is shite in the basketball world. Everybody knows this. Can’t pretend about it. I think it’s way more important in basketball than in football

Jordan only allows one team per conference and Florida is the SEC team they have chosen. Not saying this won't change, but so far they only have one school per conference.

AU could go Nike. It's the same exact gear with the swoosh branding. Nike would also make Bo and Barkley happy as I believe both are still affiliated.

I say if Nike isn't an option, then stick with UA unless Russell comes back from the dead with a killer deal.

Nike and Jordan aren’t “exactly” the same. Jordan is Nike’s premium offering. Jordan gear costs about 10% more and they do attempt to differentiate it with different cuts, materials, etc. Same concept as Toyota and Lexus. Not saying Jordan is always better but it is different. Not sure why people think it’s all the same with different logos but that’s simply not the case.

Also, UA sucks.
