Every 3rd series.

This is very common to get a player some real snaps to be able to truly see where the player is at.

Hank is only played in garbage time with the game decided way before he ever entered. I think Hank can be a decent QB but only based on playing backups and AA&M which isn’t saying much

Maybe he’s better in practice because he knows no one on the other side can hit him. Make the change and deal with it. Thorne isn’t it.

Maybe in a game with a big lead or deficit. In a contested game, stupid.

How are gonna find out if Hank can do it or not? Mop up time doesn’t give a full view.

If I were Freeze and the starter performs better in practice and understands the offense “head and shoulders” more then the others I would stick with Thorne as well. If I wanted to see where another QB is I would
Give him a couple series a game to see where and how the handle it.

Thats where we are.

I say only way is to start them. Or maybe pull the starter if they are sucking and give them rest of game.

In this instance, I really don’t think it would help. Partly because I don’t think Brown is some great talent and partly because I don’t believe in Hugh and the offensive coaching.

I hope so but I doubt it. I think we would have seen a change last week if it was going to happen.

Hank said in a previous interview that the coaches said he needed to work on protections, thats not a big deal.

And I dont care if Thorne looks like Cam Newton on steroids in practice its not transferring to the field.

Hank might not be the best in practice and play like Cam Newton live......but we will never know unless he gets a shot.

Hank transferred in as a junior and the senior starter got a scolly to Cincinnati so he was no slouch and Hank only started his senior year. Hell of a year statistically and playing for a good school.

But Dilfer said probably his best game was as a junior when the starting quarterback got dinged in practice the middle of the week and Hank was announced the starter with no prep. The other team knew if and were loaded for bear. Hank lit them up for over 300 yards. Thats the kind of resume I want heading into this Saturday.

Said it before, but the team just seems to pep up when he comes in.

Careful Pete we are kind of skating on thin ice ourselves....

Seriously, I think he knows enough to judge a QB character when he is thrown into a tough situation and excels.

Ya think? Dilfer is a blow hard. Terrible QB got lucky and got on a team with arguably the best D ever. Can’t coach at all. Took a program Bill Clarke had going along very well and is currently setting fire to it because he’s totally inept. Folks got on Prime, jump on this clown.

And I do realize we have a scumbag at HC.

Sounds like the Thorne/Robbie situational rotation from last year... and a mess.

i was just saying that in my head when I saw your post. That sounds like a terrible plan. Either let Hank start or don’t, but this bullshite merry-go-round isn’t going to get them anywhere.
