This is the same UK team that lost to Miss State by 15 and beat Arkansas by 4.

Auburn beat both Miss State and Arkansas by a combined score of 107-33.

Not saying Auburn cant lose but if we do it will be very telling of how our season will be.

With that said:

35-14 Auburn wins

Final score? I have no clue.

Never been more in the dark about an AU team than this year.

Spreading playing time around so many is going to foster a lot of competition and it'll show.

Dont be drawn in by Prison Mike's positive post. We need to find out if its old Prison Mike or New Prison Mike from last season

Same Prison Mike. Look back at my history. Every fall I push the reset button and give Gus the same optimism and chance. But every dumb move he makes and game he loses as the season progresses, I'm in his grill. I have no reason to want Gus to fail. The only thing I want for Auburn is to win big consistently. That is not unreasonable.

An old man (Epictetus) once said: “How long are you going to wait before you demand the best for yourself?”

With some frequency a few posters here want to say, "But this..." and "But that..." "Are you going blame Gus for X, Y, or Z?"

And the answer is yes. If there is failure, I blame Gus. He owns the team. Period. If he doesn't, who does? A successful leader has to own everything. If he doesn't, the team (company, project) will fall short of what it could have achieved.

I get it, Lanier. You and I have different philosophies and we always will. That's okay. I can still be civil.

Got to stuff the run. If we can do that I can see a AU 31-Jelly 21 type game. If they get the run going I can see a AU 27 - Jelly 24 type game.

Either way, screw that KY Jelly has-been basketball school.

Legacy Cam (aka Bo Nix) reminds us all why he was a 5* QB. Our OC comes out to prove that he's still the man on offense.

ETA: upon reflection, there is not a more generic and cowardly football score prediction in any situation than twenty four to seventeen

When I was in middle school/high school, all fights had to happen off school grounds or you'd get suspended. So, depending which side of school you lived on, people would meet in the church parking lot or at the water tower.

I was a church parking lot kid.

It's also increasingly difficult to point to injuries or happenstance to excuse Gus when he's been here for 7 seasons. Obviously the HC always owns the outcome, but in year two or three you can point to "well, this QB didn't pan out" or "This RB got hurt heading into a crucial stretch" or "The o-line just didn't come together".

But over time things should start to balance out no matter the circumstance. And now that we're in year 8, the trends are quite apparent, they're just not too favorable for Gus.
