I was at the game as well and your take pretty much sums it up. Though I will lay some blame on the defense for stupid penalties, letting a 6 yard slant go to the house to open the game and give Florida early momentum and missing two tackles and letting Perine break an 88 yard run. Team effort loss with the defense playing lights out in between those two plays

Brother, your seats must have been really really bad yesterday. That or you've done too much acid at Panic shows over the years.

Can someone explain to me the punt on 4th and inches? Why didn't they try and go for it? I'm pretty dumb when it comes to football compared to most of you so I really don't understand the reason

The only sure bet in short yardage like that is a Qb sneak, but our offense doesn't have that play.

No cheating. Guess who said this?

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that the Twitter take today is that Auburn sucks because they lost to Florida. To me this was mostly a schedule loss. Auburn has had a brutal start to the season and they’ve managed it really well all in all.

Who gives a frick. Bo Nix is a true Freshman

He played like dog shite in a hostile environment. Gus did him no favors with playcalling. He will not be benched for Gatewood.

Accept it and shut the frick up. This wont be the last loss on the schedule and we are going to have Nix at Qb for 3 or 4 years. Deal with it

I was wondering why they didn't bring in Gatewood on that play or even have Boobie run it.

It was 4th & inches. Did he not think Gatewood or Boobie/other RBs could run it in?

I was screaming to put Gatewood in on third and short or the wild cat. It was very frustrating watching Gus call the same dive play four times for no conversions

Sorry bro, but yesterday was about as poor of a performance I have seen from a QB. It’s okay for us to say it. Some of it was due to UF and our OL, but some falls directly on him.

No surprise here, someone questions Nix and brings up numbers, ChexMix gets all bent of shape.

Gus didn’t make him run backyards 20 yards for a sack, Gus didn’t make him under and overthrow multiple balls, Gus didn’t throw into coverage for multiple iNT’s.

I hope he wins a Heisman but he played like shite and has been impressive 1 game.

you compared him to Jeremy Johnson

He was impressive against aTm, Oregon and Miss St. and dont pretend like you hope he plays wel. You want him to fail so you can see Gatewood

No the hell I don’t, I want to fricking win. We’ve had Nix fanboys wish Gatewood would transfer. You’ve openly stated you wanted Nix to win just because of the Nix name. Sounds great, but I want to win. I’m trusting the coaches that Bo is the best, but I’m having a hard time believing Joey couldn’t do the same or more

We have an NFL defensive line and returned a group of senior lineman. I don’t want to piss away this season. Next year looks like a rebuild on both lines.

Thats a very simplistic take of wanting a Legacy Qb to be the starter at Auburn. Lucky for me that he beat Joey out for the job. Cry me a river

thats because your a fanboy for the back up. We get it. Joey will be a career back up at Auburn or he will transfer. Time to come to grips with reality

So you’re calling us Nix haters for what exactly? Because there is more pertinent criteria other than just being a legacy QB?

Lol. I’d love nothing more than for Auburn to capitalize on the Nix and Nix name/legacy. Hopefully he figures it out before LSU.

Edit: but I’d hate for us to piss away a championship defense just to appease the Nix fan club. I’m a fan of Nix too, but I’m having a hard time believing Joey couldn’t produce the same or better. I’ll trust the coaches.

Unlucky for you, your boy has looked terrible. You Nix fanboys would rather see the season go to shite than to try Gatewood. Your biggest fear is for Joey to come in and do great. I could care less who does it. We just want to win games, and Nix is not going to be that guy this year to beat our rivals. His average stats will get Auburn ran out of the stadium.

I have no clue why there is such a resistance by the nix fanboys and our HC to let Gatewood play at all.

I can maybe understand Joiner or Shivers but when 3rd and short was a problem and Gatewood was just on the sidelines, we have a problem with personnel management. Maybe like Chex, Gus just wanted the Auburn legacy.

Did this game remind anyone else of the 2017 SECCG vs. Georgia? Where the game was close heading into the 4th and we couldn't get anything done on offense and Georgia put up two touchdowns to make it seem worse than it was? I realize we had injured players that game and none this game, but it seemed sort of similar.
