Cubelic this morning said Auburn offered Harsin a settlement yesterday and he turned it down. Few ways to read that but to me it's clearly a matter of when not if he is let go assuming Cole was right.

I think we get word on Harsin's future by the end of the week

This needs to be over and we need to have a new coach by the end of the week.

I'd turn it down too, but at some point you cut your loses and move on.

Wow that sounds like the "rumors" have some merit. At least enough to have an internal investigation.

Or it sounds like administration officials started a witch hunt to cloud Harsin’s tenure and get him out.

he won 6 games in an all SEC schedule with a lot more covid adversity around the program. Being a better coach than Gus is also a low bar

this is a great point. I was very surprised we decided to fire Gus last year.

People here hate gus and going to blame everything on him but our 6-7 coach is the best. our 6-7 coach don't work hard at recruiting. we sign 3 or 4 HS players in the top 30 of Alabama this cycle bama sign 6 in the top 9. How can anyone suck that bad and don't me that s*it about time and relationships. He a lazy recruiter.

If this is true Harsin must believe he did nothing wrong.

I really do not see Harsin going down without a fight. He has always struck me as having an ego, and we’ve seen people call him an a-hole. Something tells me he fights this to the end

Theres no way I'd take a settlement if I did nothing wrong. By all the statements by Harsin, theres no way he plans on taking a settlement. He will take this thing to the worse possible outcomes for AU PTB, either he stays on as HC or he gets paid the entire 18 million buy out.

Good. Whatever he did to piss off the people in power, he doesn’t deserve having every negative rumor about him aired for the world to see. This has been disgraceful.

Or, as you mentioned, his ego.

Maybe he shouldn't have done the interview with ESPN or SI or whoever it was then.

He's most definitely taking a settlement. It will likely be confidential but I bet he makes Auburn issue a statement clearing him in a sense. Otherwise he may be not be hired again somewhere.

If they can't fire for cause, he has no reason not to take the entire buyout.

Absolutely. And Auburn will likely pay it.

I actually have more respect for him now. Someone needed to tell the truth.

I had a two hour conference call this morning. When it was over, I went straight to Twitter and here to see if something happened.

I’ve got work to do this week. They need to do whatever it is they’re going to do.

I'm not sleeping, I'm not eating, my work is suffering. Harsin needs to be fired because he clearly has put no thought into how all this affects me
