Possibly / likely. Part of me also thinks that if CBH believed he was in the right, he would even ignore much of this advice and do things his way and let the chips fall where they will. We'll see.

Or maybe there’s less to this stupid arse story than we are being led to believe. shite has been all over the place which leads me to believe people are pulling shite out of their arse. I mean look at the thread title here. It says Harsin is refusing a reduced buyout. Anyone seen anything regarding any buyout? No, but yet there it is.

As long as you’re posting one sided shite, Meta, let’s be fair and post the other side of the argument. What these corrupt cocksuckers are doing is inexcusable in terms of dragging the guy’s reputation through the mud just because they don’t like him. I hope they pay and pay dearly. I will always be a fan of Auburn University but I’m not a fan of these power brokers that do this kind of shite.

Actually yes, the whole visible light spectrum along with heavy doses of UV, some X and Gamma rays. Someone mentioned Chemo (radiation). Someone, somewhere probably has the correct take. Roughly equivalent to one person filling out a tourney bracket now blindfolded and somehow correctly picking every winner.

As to most recent "buyout numbers" I have seen here and elsewhere are between 18-21 million or so FWIW which I am sure is not worth much.

How do you downplay a meeting being attended by all sec Head coaches? They just gonna sit around and shoot the shite for a few hours?

Phillip has a bad (likely purposeful) habit of weighing in on a topic but ultimately answering a completely different question than the one being asked.

The board isn't going "does Harsin going to the meeting mean he's going to be the coach forever?" the board is going "it sure as hell is going to be awkward if he goes after all of this."

He repeats over and over that the BOT doesn't make the call and booster can only voice their positions to Gogue. Yeah dude, we know, that has nothing to do with our repeated questions about who has voiced their positions and what said positions are.

The “different” take by most of the Boise fans on that board is Auburn ought not to smear Harsin nor the woman.

How is that any different than your posts?

The other takes were along the lines of “Harsin and Auburn were meant for each other” and “I’m just glad he’s there.”

Auburn has not smeared the woman that we know of. It started somewhere, and nobody knows where. It didn’t come from the pay boards, nor the media. Their accusations and lies of an Auburn mod telling them they’re deleting any trashy stuff just shows they know nothing.

Pettifogger, I didn’t even know the coaches met in February. He’s probably not purposefully understating the high stakes of the meeting.

He’s probably saying by Harsin going that doesn’t mean one way or another he will be our football coach next week.

Weren't these the same meetings were Chizik got into a shouting match with the woman from the NCAA over the investigation into Auburn?

I love this notion that "Auburn" has done this to Harsin and/or the assistant and that the Boise fan is no longer going to pull for Auburn against Alabama. As if "Auburn" is some sentient evil being that decided to ruin people's lives.

Agreed AwesomeDave. Folks spewing that crap are as bad as the people spreading the rumors they hate. Nothing is confirmed on where that stuff came from.
And all the folks who sanctimoniously cry, "I have two, three daughters and if they did this to me or my daughter...", please, shut up. You don't know anything except what you read on the internets or hear while you are listening to 4 hours of Finebaum every day.

Here's a fun post from an actual Mod of that Boise State forum:

LINK

quote:

Putting aside the affair rumors, Harsin's handling of staff has been problematic, if not toxic, both here and at Auburn. We know he works well with only a few people, and while Auburn insisted on keeping or hiring coaches who know the SEC territory, they were also deeply respected individuals: Bobo and Mason, just to name two of them. But then when you also bring in a new OC in December and he bolts before the February signing day, it's again a reflection on Harsin. I imagine the exit interviews are enough to indicate Harsin's real weakness and limitation as a head coach.

Some of you need to remember that I was pumping up this hire as hard as anyone on here. When that Boise State site wrote the article blaming their early-season struggles on Harsin's deterioration of the team, I even went on their site to see what they were saying. I thought it was just typical sour-grapes stuff because their HC left to a bigger school, but you have to understand that at this point the dice is so loaded against Harsin that it's beyond comical to paint him as some sort of innocent victim. The complaints to the university that kick-started this whole thing didn't come from your "corrupt cocksucker" BOT members; they came from players and coaches. Nobody put a gun to anyone's heads and told them to make things up. The stalemate now appears to be that while Harsin is a complete mess, there isn't enough to rid him with cause.

When he left Boise State, a good faction of their own fanbase and administration were happy to see him leave. And he's a former player and coach there. Now you have Arkansas State stories coming out about how in his ONE season there he was a complete mess. He's been here just over a year and it's the same story: problems at every level, and he seems impossible to work with. It's the same repeating story everywhere.

He's not a "victim", his own ego, rigidity, and inability to see past himself created this entire mess. He has the grace of a bull in a China shop. His treatment of people within the AD and BOT and refusal to do ANYTHING to create goodwill since he was hired basically gave the people who never wanted him in the first place a loaded gun.

I guess that could be him in the pic. If it is, he is staying. Hope all you that have been knighting so hard are happy. Auburn Football is headed down a long road of suck. Have fun. I hope for the best.

I will add that Harsin better watch every single thing he does. He now has a target on him. Any slip up and he will be gone. I don't know why he would stay where he is not wanted.

Doesn’t mean that at all. Auburn isn’t going to lose out on millions of dollars just to keep him from not going to a coaches meeting. This is not a media meeting.

He is out, it’s just when.

Another “different take” Boise fan:

When was he ever beloved in Boise? It was more about the local media being too afraid to cross him.
