Said he was discussed internally today, and definitely a long shot.

Throw the bank at Mora, Jr.
Just watched his PC today where he proverbially pimpslapped a reporter.
Good Lord, I'm so fickle about this

I do like Jim Mora he's a hardass with NFL experience.

I love Jim Mora. I think he is a solid coach. Hopefully he is the man if we are going to steal someone from the west.

I'd be very happy with Jim Mora. That'd be awesome
And Kevin Sumlin?
If only.. the Aggies would flip shite.

I hate to but THAT guy but.... I call bullshite.

We should give the NCAA the bird and get Johnny Football to follow him.
Or better idea, toss $200,000 Manziel's way and hope Sumlin transfers with him.

It's okay if you want to be that guy. I'm sure it has already been pointed out in another thread somewhere but another prominent Auburn figure came out pro-Petrino tonight (Barkley). At least you don't have to wait long.

You'll either be a hero or an arse on this board. Good luck to ya good sir.
And since when does Barkley become a rational voice for Auburn? He's a prominent voice no doubt.. but nowhere near rational.

You threw out the info you had, now let it marinate. If it happens you are solid, and I get that you probably weren't looking for praise. Just being cool and sharing what you know. Thank you for doing so

From 247:
About damn time I hear his name pop up.
Looking more and more likely.

We don't know how serious it is, but there has also been some talk about TCU head coach Gary Patterson, who also interviewed in 2008.

* As Auburn's search for a head coach to replace Gene Chizik picks up speed, Bobby Petrino is closing fast. Not so long ago, Petrino seemed a long shot at best. Some even say he has moved into the lead. We're not ready to say that, because there is still significant opposition because of the circumstances of his departure from Arkansas. But there seems to be little doubt he is seriously in the mix.
Looking more and more likely.
