So unless its Petrino or some nfl coach that's not good, right?
Any other good coach is going to come from a bowl bound school and wouldn't announce that prior to their bowl, right?

Sure they would.
Nothing will come of it this week though since there are Conference Champion games.

Perhaps its just my hope clouding my judgement but i when they put the names of sullivan and jackson as part of the search committee i just figured it was so the icons of auburn could endorse petrino and try to make the soccer moms feel better about the hire.

No, conference championship games will be over and alot of coaches move during this time and the bowl team brings up their OC/DC to coach the bowl.

When I mentioned Petrino to my mom she just rolled her eyes and said "I definitely don't want him"
Then in her next sentence said she would love Malzahn
My mom is the kind of fan I hate. She just doesn't know anything about football
I just want to get away from all the coaches that were apart of "chizik and co". That's why I dont care if BVG stays or goes. No, he didn't do a great job this year, but in my opinion the staff in 2010 is what caused the discipline problem in the first place. I don't want any of them back, sans the ones that were here before (yox, bouleware). Maybe Malzahn wasn't directly responsible for the discipline problem, but no one knows that for sure.

The whole "Monday after the SECCG" thing fits the timetable that some people were saying (maybe ellitor?) about hiring Jimbo.

I would be ok with jimbo I guess.
Didn't he just get kinda stomped against Florida? He won't get any better talent at auburn, probably slightly worse actually

I agree with you that it's a farce in they aren't searching, but i also think it's necessary for BP to get sullivan's and Jackson's endorsement before the softer portion of our fans accepts the idea of having a winning coach on campus...sorry i mean a guy with baggage.
