I wouldn't put too much weight in the Freeman one just because they literally just coached against each other in their Bowl game.

Auburn jet flew to Boca Raton, was on the ground for 30 mins, and is heading back
Clearly picking someone up
FAU staff includes Jim Leavitt and Drew Mehringer as possibilities

...should that hire be exciting?

Too old, imo. He's older than Steele. Doesn't mean he can't coach, but still. However, he might be excellent to have in an analyst or recruiting role. He knows how to build programs and would be a good sounding board.

Interesting. Is his system anything like Harsin's? This guy appears to be from the Urban Meyer offensive tree, which would make him similar to Mullen and Tom Herman.
Hell, I'd go after Tom Herman in some capacity, tbh. Sorta like we did with Muschamp in 2015. We know we won't have to compete with Texas for him.

also I'm 100% speculating

from ole miss 247 mods:
As Ben Garrett reported on his podcast Monday night, there is some substance to the Jeff Lebby to Auburn rumors. It appears that Lebby may have already interviewed with new Auburn head coach Brian Harsin. We have heard that Lebby is indeed interested in other opportunities. The truth is Lebby's name, due to his success, is likely to be associated with every coordinator job in the country worth having. With that said, it would be somewhat of a surprise if Harsin were to hire Lebby, considering historically Harsin has chosen to run a pro-style offense. And that is not necessarily what Lebby does.
Something else to keep an eye on if Lebby were to depart Ole Miss, is offensive line coach Randy Clements. The two are very close, if not tied to the hip, and it is certainly not out of the realm of possibilities that Clements would follow Lebby if he chose to leave the program. This is, of course, kind of putting the cart before the horse, but it is something that bears watching.

Damn I work right down the street from the airport/school but it was pretty empty. Have to think they picked him up cause they didn’t appear to be meeting at FAU

Can't even guarantee it's a football hire, just that the auburn plane landed in Boca from Auburn, and it took back off back to Auburn 30 mins later
Can only speculate that this was to pick up someone

According to Wikipedia, Mark Richt lives in Boca. And everyone knows Wikipedia is the end all, be all for official sources.
