I'd guess Auburn is in the lower half of the top 25 in available money in FOOTBALL, much less basketball.
I disagree here. And the latest successes in recruiting tend to help my argument.

The alumni network that AU has built at the top rivals all our peers not named Texas A&M.

I’d be willing to bet we’re top 10 in football and closer to 1 than 10.

A lot of basketball programs have apparently added a "GM" position to help manage all this.

I hope that's true. It always seemed to me that the dirtier side of recruiting pre-NIL required as much political and media cover as money, and few programs had that combination. It was pretty obvious which ones did, however. I suspect in the next 5 to 10 years, we'll have a pretty good idea of the financial pecking order on NIL collectives because that's pretty much going to define the success of college sports.

It’s what needs to happen. HCs have enough on their plate.

AU will play in Huntsville this December (13th) vs UNC Asheville. BP quotes implied this was partially scheduled for Chaney Johnson (UAH ties) and Denver Jones (originally from north AL)

My father and 10 of his close friends are the biggest UGA homers ever born. They will flat out tell you that UGA has NEVER paid for a player and they players on the team wont even accept NIL money.

They commit to UGA and play for UGA because they love the program and are good damn dogs.

I'm assuming your Dad was never around when UGA players were driving nice new Camaros and Firebirds off of the Bill Heard Chevrolet and Pontiac dealership in Columbus back in he day. Or when they were earning nice money "working" summer jobs at Don Leebern's Georgia Crown Distributing Company in Columbus.

I grew up in Columbus. Columbus was where most of UGA's dirty money was laundered.

More scheduling news:

We will play Notre Dame in R1 of our little Brooklyn tourney. The next game will be against the winner of Oklahoma St./St. Bonaventure

Think we are close to having the completed schedule.

Thinking this will be our most exciting Bruce schedule yet. Off the top of my head:
Baylor Opener
@App State
Brooklyn Tourney referenced above
Virginia Tech ACC challenge
UNC-Asheville in Huntsville
Indiana in ATL
USC coming to Auburn

We just offered Efeosa Oliogu, the no. 10 overall prospect in 2025. 6-5 wing out of Toronto. He’s scheduled an official visit September 15-17. LINK

We’re not Texas or Texas A&M rich, but Auburn isn’t struggling.

Auburn also has an intelligent staff and they’re great at utilizing what money there is.

I’m 100% sure Auburn could hand landed Bolden last week, but was over paying for Bolden better than saving money and using it elsewhere? Absolutely not. Solomon, Patterson, and Franklin are much better uses of our resources than 1 player.

As for Flory, I have absolutely no clue where he is going, but I do know some Auburn people feel good about him.

He’s one of the least reliable people you could listen to. He just reads the message boards and makes guesses.

Pretty sure it’s been reported that not even the coaches know where Flory is going and won’t until he announces.

Four-star shooting guard, Efeosa Oliogu, one of the top overall recruits in the 2025 class has locked in an official visit to Auburn basketball.

Oliogu, who On3 ranks the No. 10 overall recruit in ’25, will visit Auburn the weekend of Sept. 15-17, On3’s Joe Tipton reported on Thursday.

Pretty excited about this schedule. Would rather have drawn UVA in the ACC challenge though. I'll be at all of these outside of Baylor & @App State. I've even considered a visit to Sioux Falls to catch the Baylor game.

It’s the best non-conference schedule I can remember us having. Really excited to have a chance to show out in some of these big games when I feel like our OOC has been a little disappointing the last few years, but our team is just such an unknown with all these new faces. We’re going to learn a lot about them very quickly.
