You are probably right, but they struggle to score so the potential is there for a really bad start to the SEC.

Do we have some connection in Arizona?
Isn't that the 2nd Arizona recruit we have been high on? The other ended up signing somewhere else the past recruiting season, but we were right there..Can't recall his name...

Likely very premature, but Bruce currently needs 380 more wins to reach the 1k club. How many more seasons do y'all think it'll take for him to get there?
Keep in mind, he is 61 and has been coaching for 27 seasons to get 620 wins. A slightly under 23 wins per season pace.

I don't see it

quote:He could do it, but it's certainly unlikely. If he averages 20 wins a year, he hits 380 when he's 80. If he averages 23 wins a year, he hits it when he's 78 or 79. If Auburn basketball goes on some magical run of 25 wins per year...he hits it when he's 75.

I just can't envision Bruce Pearl coaching at 79 years old.

This is offseason talk, but I think it's somewhat related.
Todd Golden has San Francisco rolling right now. It'll be interesting to see where his career takes him.

No joke. I remember watching them beat Virginia last season. Thanks for reminding me of them. Looks like they are 13-1 and play Loyola Chicago tomorrow at 1pm

Yeah they had a strong 2019-20 but fell off a little last year. They’re back this year as one of the 4 teams in the WCC expecting to make the tournament

Any sub 6 feet 4/5 stars on the horizon? It’s wild they don’t just line up to play for us yet. Wendell Green, who basically had zero legitimate offers out of HS, is getting real all conference buzz

Just caught the score, very nice!

Keeping the traditional in the historical thread. So proud of what AU basketball has become.
And just imagine doing at a time that the SEC is probably the strongest it’s every been. What Bruce has done is stupid amazing. Just think Tom Crean, Kermit Davis, Frank Martin or some of the bottom of the league coaches. All very good coaches but everyone can’t be at the top. 15 years ago those coaches would have been top 3 in the conference
