You take this board too seriously if you think that's worth a permaban I don't want to alienate posters potentially posting groundbreaking news for the fear if something changes they'll get banned

Fair enough, but I don't think they would have that fear given the choice is completely voluntary.

Of course it's voluntary. But why even give the reason to think twice?

He claimed it was official and agreed to being banned if he is wrong. At a minimum he should have a ban until after basketball season if wrong.

It is his own rules : dunno:

I understand but you can't claim it is official.. it is either official or unofficial. I was fine with him trolling in other threads but claiming Wiley is cleared is beyond childish. He might be declared eligible by Saturday but not because he knows. BP doesn't know..

Our defensive FT% is garbage.. how can we expect to compete when we allow our opponents to convert at that rate from the foul line?

What's SOS look like this time last year vs today? Should be taken into consideration

Probably not that different. Biggest difference was that we played a ranked Purdue last year. I think the other teams are fairly comparable to this year.

Definitely fair, but KenPom's SOS adjusted efficiency has us much improved as well
Offense: #27 113.5 per 100 poss (2016 #54 111.9)
Defense: #72 98.5 per 100 poss (2016 #147 103.3)

Other Notes: Rebounds

2017 AU vs lowest 9 KenPom Ranked OOC
(UConn, GSU, Mercer, EKU, UNF, USCUpstate, CoastalCar, BC, UAB)

-Out Rebounded in 5/9 Games
-Overall Rebounds AU 355 Opp 376

2018 AU
-Won Rebound Battle in 9/9 Games
-Overall Rebounds AU 379 Opp 291

Other Notes: Shooting

FT% - We are playing without our best 2017 FT shooter (Purifoy 87.9%) and our worst (Wiley 49.1%... yes worse than LaRon)

3P% - 4 of top 5 3FG shooters in 2017 shot higher % in SEC conf play than OOC play ( )

This compares to last year's entire results which was significantly more difficult SOS, so it is pretty fair

Even on a non conference basis, based on KenPom rankings TCU, Texas Tech & Purdue would all be our toughest opponent in OOC play for 2018 while Oklahoma/UConn are both top 100 (We have only 2 top 100 in 2018 OOC)

Also I'd like to point out one of the seldom discussed impacts the Person case has on this team

Auburn is missing 3 coaches/key staff members. From what I'm told, the AU BBall staff hours are ridiculous to make up for it

In particular, Bruce has been significantly more hands on / picked up the bulk of the work.

He talked about that on the Opening Drive this past week. He said they’ve had to give the managers some of the responsibilities an assistant coach would normally have. I’m sure it’s nothing crazy, but that shows just how stretched thin they’ve been.

I talked to a buddy who works closely w the bball staff, said you could tell they are extremely exhausted and overworked

He did make it sound like they enjoyed getting more hands on and having to breath bball every second
