Well if you look at resumes as of now our resume isn't much better than Bama's if at all...

They have the bad quad 3 loss we don't have but are better right now on the road as of now. They are also 6-6 vs teams projected in the tourney while we are 3-9 vs teams projected in.

NCAA uses net ranking now and pretty much dropped RPI entirely

AU is #24
Bama is #49

That's a big difference

I know but regardless of year they have always put heavy emphasis on how teams did on the road & neutral games as well as games against teams in the tourney regardless of RPI ranking when doing selection & seeding. If we end up in an 8-9 SEC Tourney game (likely against Bama) and still end up an 8 or 9 seed & comfortably in the NCAA we will see the first major change in that philosophy.

I 100% agree these games are likely still very important to selection. The changes from what I can tell are coming on the "how" these games are evaluated/measured

What are those 12 games? Seems like numbers are unfairly counted somewhere

I have them at 3-6 vs likely NCAAT teams, 5-6 if you include AQ home wins vs Liberty/Murray

At Large Projected (3-4)
- UK (W)
- @LSU (L)
- @UTk (L)
- Ole Miss (W)
- @Baylor (L)
- MSU (W)
- @MSU (L)

Bubble (0-2)
- AU (L)
- UF (L)

Need Conf Championship (2-0)
- Murray St (W)
- Liberty (W)

while we are 3-9 vs teams projected in.

AU is 3-8, including those bubble 5-8

- UF (W)
- Bama (W)
- UWash (W)
- (L), Duke/NCst/UKx2/OMx2/MSU/USCe/LSU

AQ/Weaker Bubble
- Murray St (W)
- Dayton (W)

6-6 vs teams projected in

Yet they've still lost an additional 5 games with only the UK narrow home win being a "signature"

Normally teams that drop the ball vs bad teams need to have some more top heavy wins (aka the ACC method)

The truth is, winning 2 more games regular + SECT should punch our ticket given the field.

What may change that is conference tournament results

The number of "bubble" at large spots can shrink significantly if teams like Nevada, Wofford, Houston/Cincy, Buffalo, Gonzaga and others don't win their conference tournament

Tonight is as close to must win as you can get isn’t it? Unless you lose tonight then somehow beat Tennessee at home

Tonight would definitely be our worst loss of the year

Yep. I haven’t been at all worried about making the tourney this year. If we lose tonight, that will change for the first time.

We are following an overtime game of course. A staple of 2018-2019 Auburn basketball.

McCormick might need more minutes. He seems to be improving each game.

Taking care of business so far. Harper having an unbelievable half. Defense hasn’t been great though

As long as we can trade buckets, I think we will be good.

Tom Crean’s face still looks to me like he’s always sniffing a turd.

Oh look, Auburn’s regularly scheduled late half collapse.

Georgia finished with a 4-0 run. I’ll take it.

Still a ten point lead and we have scored 50 in the first half.
