It's bad when fans know more than those that get paid to report on it for a living..

Auburn picked 3rd in the SEC at media days. Bryce and Jared both on 2nd team.

We are a #BasketballSchool that unfortunately has football focused beatwriters

quote:

but you can't tell me when we have major prospects visiting, 4 players potentially out of the top 10 players in the country, we can't get any coverage

Visiting information, AU beat writers can do better on I'll admit that.

As for recruiting predictions, analysis and target tracking, that is extremely difficult

Except for a short period of time in 2014 SECT, we became a #KTHarrellSchool

HOOPS: Isaac Okoro, the No. 32 overall player in the 2019 class, took his first and last official visit. He won't need anymore.

Probably because he has decided to go play in the G-League for 125k. Because we are Auburn.

The #32 recruit who isn't projected in the NBA mocks isn't getting a $125k contract in the GLeague

That GLeague rule change isn't going to be as big an impact as people think. For most players that aren't clear 1 and dones, the media exposure, cost of living + stipend of NCAA is more value than the small salary they might get in GLeague

Chin, because there are only five positions, where is the talent drop off? Compare it to top 100 in football in recruiting.

Yeah I totally agree Gene. Just another thing for me to be irrationally nervous about though.

So Jay Tate said on his podcast that Allen Greene dug in on keeping Bruce during the scandal

Leath was always vocal about wanting to fire Bruce privately

If Leath shows up to a basketball game, I hope they start a fire leath chant

Idk man, he seems like he has the type of Napoleon ego that if he got embarrassed publicly like that he'd make it his mission to find a reason to fire Pearl out of spite.

frick Leath. Dude just gives off such douchebag vibes. I have a bad feeling that whenever he leaves Auburn it'll be in the midst of some scandal where he royally fricked something up for AU.

Yeah like this.

Those rumors that we'll look into ways to legally cut some off of Gus' buyout total, maybe we can find a way to throw Leath under the Bus and get rid of him too. Sounds like the best case scenario to me, but this is Auburn and the best case scenario never plays out for us.

Too damn long.

Shitty job by the BoT and whatever hiring firm they used to do an effin' nation-wide search and somehow come up with this a-hole.

Edit: And obviously its somehow Jay Jacob's fault too.
