Named best 6th man as a junior last year

If you are a 6th man/role player as a JR on a 17-13 Big West team, you aren't making a significant contribution on a good SEC team, even if you are the best 6th man in the Big West

You seem awful pessimistic today. Worst case he should be back with a couple weeks to warm up for SEC play. Best case he'll be back for the opener.

You seem awfully optimistic about a foot injury to a big man.

Foot injuries derail careers in the post.

Because I'm pointing out that Jack Purchase wasn't an SEC caliber player and that as an upper classman in the Big West he isn't even a top player on his own team?

I got nothing against the kid, I'm glad he found a place where he is valued as a role player. An appreciation he never would have enjoyed riding the bench at Auburn

I don’t throw around the inside info card a lot, but I’ve heard that Wiley’s foot isn’t good and he may be out awhile. Like half the year or more. I hope what I heard is wrong.

Like I've been saying, foot injuries for big men are no joke and often stick with them for the rest of their career.

I've heard the opposite. Precautionary and out 2-3 weeks tops.

I hope you’re right. Was told this by someone that’s known the Wiley family from before he was born.

Better safe than sorry. Nobody in the program seems concerned at all.

Either way, I hope they take it slow with him. We should be fine early with McLemore, Spencer, and Chuma.

Malcolm Canada did not play Center... he did however play the 4 on occasion. And yes, was a huge piece of multiple key wins on that group of misfits that comprised Bruce’s first roster. I can’t believe how far we’ve come.

He often matched up on the opponents center on defense.

Either way whether it was the 4/5, he was a guard playing out of position and wasn't the biggest liability on the team

LSU is dragged into the scandal
quote:

As for Wade, the LSU head coach is on a phone call with Dawkins discussing the possible recruitment of Balsa Koprivica, a center who plays in Florida and is one of the top players in the Class of 2019.

[Wade] is communicating to Christian Dawkins that he can get him what he needs – meaning money – if a player in Florida, Balsa Koprivica, agrees to play for LSU,” Casey Donnelly, one of Gatto’s attorneys, said. Donnelley then read a portion of the transcript of the call.
“Would you want Balsa?” Dawkins asked.

“Oh, the big kid?” Wade responded.

Dawkins confirms

“OK, but there is other [expletive] involved in it,” Wade said. “Wait, I’ve got to shut the door … I can get you what you need but it’s got to work.”

Boom! So unless our staff is confident someone leaves early next year, our allotment is full for the 2019-20 year.

I've been disappointed in the coverage of Auburn basketball recruiting, not on the fans' side but with the recruiting analysts/reporters. They need to step up their game.

Coaches keep recruiting a lot more underwraps for bball. A lot harder for reporters to know targets, recruiting #s and visits

I agree. There seems to be zilch information out there. I just follow a bunch of CBB reporters on twitter and have to put up with tons of irrelevant shite in order to find Auburn nuggets once every blue moon.

I don't think so.. i think it's more to do with us being a football school, supposedly am i right, and the focus isn't there. I understand we aren't a bluebood and don't have the following as UK or Duke but you can't tell me when we have major prospects visiting, 4 players potentially out of the top 10 players in the country, we can't get any coverage. The coaches release the visiting information, just like they do in football.
