UT's two away games are definitely losable. I think UGA will be checked out by the time they play them.

From MM's basketball notes today.

Bruce said he wouldn't go through full practice, but would get some shots up. Working on getting his strength back. Sounded like he would play Saturday.

“I got a text message from a pretty good AAU coach that was wondering if I was interested in one of the top-five two-guards in the country in 2019, and of course he knows I’m interested, but he was taking notice of the fact that Bryce Brown was playing as well, and the young man is similar in the way they play,” Pearl said. “I hit him back and basically said, you know, ‘the only difference is Bryce was 349 and your guy’s 5. That’s the only difference.”

Hooks implies that this was regarding Isaac Okoro and that Okoro loves him some AU/Bryce Brown

MSU seems like a bad match up for TN. TN lives off Grant Williams + Schofield in the post, MSU has the size/athleticism to defend that w Q and Stapleton

TN guard play isnt particularly athletic to keep MSUs athletic backcourt out of the lanes

1 TN loss and 1 AU win locks up the SEC title for us right?

I think so. I think if either one of those happen, we lock up a share of it. If both happen, we lock it up outright.

Outright. Any Auburn win or UT loss gives us a tie, and the #1 seed.

I'm sure Thamel will go on Finebaum today and say "I don't see any way Calipari, Avery Johnson, Tom Izzo, and Coach K are coaching college basketball next season, just using common sense."

Right?

Disappointed in SEC Country publishing Finebaum garbage.

https://www.seccountry.com/auburn/paul-finebaum-bruce-pearl-college-basketball-fbi-investigation-sec-most-vulnerable-coach

quote:

“It’s always hard to predict at the embryonic stages of any investigation, but I think I would say clearly Pearl is the most vulnerable,” Finebaum told SEC Country. “By the way, I know he wasn’t mentioned in this [Yahoo Sports story] today. But he has been mentioned already before. But I do have some concerns about him, and I don’t think that’s a big surprise.”

Exactly how, again, has Pearl been "mentioned before" in this case?

SEC Country hates Auburn and publishes anything remotely scandalous from them.

I'm shocked Carvell hasn't jumped ship to them yet. He posted the same type article too

Their regular beat writers are solid. Ferg is my favorite AU beat guy and Will puts on solid free recruiting content

National guys are horrible
