New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been limited in three of the past four practices, and he cited his age as part of the reason

With Brady limited at practice twice last week, the only other quarterback on the roster was rookie Jarrett Stidham. Having Stidham handle the regular offense, in addition to the scout team, was a heavy load.

They didn't have a scout QB already? Hard to believe. Usually teams have 3 QBs, 2 on 53 man roster or maybe 3, but 1 on practice squad...

Nope. After cutting Hoyer, they carried only 2 QBs on the 53man + Practice Squad

They do have a number of converted position former QBs though. That said, hard to imagine they are using htem as the scout team

I feel like there are people on here actively rooting against Stidham

He never bashed Gus because he was still trying to get drafted. It was his fiancée and uncle that did.

So by proxy.

The mistakes Stidham made that were bad are not taught. They are either in you or not. He was a turnover machine and overthrew damn near every deep receiver by 10 yards.

Now I have never been to practice when he was on the team but I feel pretty confident that fumbling the ball, ints and not overthrowing wide open receivers by 10 yards are not taught by Gus or any other coach at this level. At that point, Stidham pretty much needs to know those things

I like him. I certainly appreciate what he did. I would not go so far to say he didnt have heart. I think he did. Not Aaron Murray level but somewhere in between. I hope he does well for the Pats.
