Why in God's name are PBU that important to a free safety? I mean, sure I'd like to have a guy that breaks up a few passes but I'd much rather have a guy that is consistent and makes tackles in space and cuts down angles on ball carriers, limiting YAC yards. Rudy Ford is a damn beast of a safety. He'll end up as a top 50 overall pick in next year's draft.

Ford has more responsibilities than just be a last line of defense. I appreciate that we have a guy that will stop the homerun play from happening usually but I'd like to see him more aggressive in the pass game as well. He gets a good portion of his tackles from curl routes and slants when he was close enough to after the ball instead.

Rudy's amazing lack of effort after popping off at the mouth (that was GREATLY magnified on national TV) put a huge spotlight on him. It put a lot of eyes on him. After that play I for one noticed him taking more plays off, and lack of hustle. Not saying he won't be drafted, but I wouldn't take him if I was a GM making the pick.

Bo Jackson had the worst practice ethic. Not worth drafting imo

So you'd rather we have a safety that jumps curl routes but also gets consistently burnt on double moves or sluggo routes? No thanks.
