So how is the quarterback race panning out so far? Are you we going to tell 6'2 Sean white to find another spot to play or are we going to figure out how to use him?

Have you been living under a rock? Tyler Queen locked up the QB position before practice even started.

Bro, the QB race is "open". Snowboard Cam can't run. It is what makes the world go round in Gustav's offense. It is what it is.

Spring practice is going on for a week and we still don't know/hear shite

I don't understand the complete shutting out of fans.

Question to the board:

Knowing we can't have it all, what do we expect from the coaches in terms of interesting content? For me - I just want more media/player interviews and some strength and conditioning updates.

Anyhow - it was great to see Chris Todd throw to receivers at pro day. For as shitty as Duke's numbers have been he looked really great running routes and catching the ball. He's slow but everything he does looks fluid and easy

That's not surprising. He was a gamer at Auburn when he wanted to be. I still think he can be a gamer in the NFL if he wants to be one.

I will say I am very encouraged to hear the positively around Byron Cowart. Sounds like he's adjusted to Garner and play in the SEC. On paper this is one of the more exciting DLs in recent memory. Now need them to stay healthy and produce.

Speaking of that any ideas on what exactly is wrong with Paul James?

Stat Tiger: "Stress fracture to his foot which was addressed when he arrived on campus. He is recovering well."

Undisclosed foot injury. Gus made it sound like he would participate sooner than later

Given what the content of players vs coaches I would love this.

In a perfect world, I would love for our coaches to discuss O/D ideas and try and educate our fan base on what we are doing. If Gus put out a weekly play breakdown like this it would be incredible

Best case, he can be an Anquan Boldin.

Anquan Boldin, however, was never fricking insane, so there's that.

That is a ridiculously good "best case." If Boldin didn't have Joe Flacco throwing to him in Baltimore, he'd have hall of fame numbers.

Boldin is #22 all time in yards per game, ahead of guys like Randy Moss, Dez Bryant, Steve Smith, Reggie Wayne and others. If you take only his AZ/SF years he is #12

I don't need extreme details, but a lot of what you suggested.

My point is there is more he can do to connect with the fan base.

Let's face it, we are here and interested in Spring ball.

It is a great place to build up the support.
and excitement without giving away any info he may feel is too much.

I mean Saban cusses his fans out and they love it.

I should add to the above though, Boldin and Duke have ridiculously similar measurables.

Boldin
Ht- 6' 0.5" Wt- 216
40- 4.71
Vert- 33.5"
Broad- 9' 6"
3Cone- 7.35

Duke

Ht- 6' 2.125" Wt- 220
40- 4.72
Vert- 30.5"
Broad- 10' 1"
3Cone- 7.43

Of course.

What I was saying is that their WR physical qualities are very similar in build, speed, and hands.

The huge difference is mental and I pointed that out too.

I'm with you. I'd love more info. I'd love Gus to be more fan-friendly.

He's not. And we're not going to get more info.

I've made my peace with that.
