At least one day he hasn't been (not making anything of it), but he wasn't in any of the rotations. Its spring ball, not uncommon for guys to have conflicts with practice in the spring that they don't have in the fall.

This is the saddest spring football thread I have ever seen on this board. They really have beat all the high expectations the fans have out of us haven't they?

Unfortunately there just isn't much to report on yet. Haven't had a scrimmage yet, most everything is just drills right now. After the first scrimmage, things should pick up.

Wednesday Practice Vid

I really like this drill the QB's are doing early. Good to get the handoff coordination, but quickly have to focus on getting the next ball and a quick release.

ETA: Don't want the drill with the QB's throwing to the TE's. We fricked

That's our secret offensive weapon for 2022: we will play with 2 footballs instead of just 1

We’ll be running a multiple offense.

Yeah I know man, it’s just friggin sad that we have gotten to this point. Wasn’t even this way in 2012 even 2012 never happened.

The Amazins' happened, frendo. Positive people live longer. You should try it. We're going to run a bunch of 12 personnel and make teams submit. We do it at Utah and punch higher than we should.

It’s not the team and coach as it is the constant meddling of the BOT that is just getting old.

Harsin was asked about this. He said (paraphrasing) "every school has this dynamic. OK, Auburn has it more than most."

Yep, would explain why he’s not participating at practice.

From Clemente and Auburn Rivals gang

quote:

We got to watch about an hour of Auburn football practice and scrimmage inside Jordan-Hare, here's a few notes:

-Tank and Donovan Kaufman were working at punt returner

-Sean Jackson broke off two big runs

-1st team offense was LT Kilian Zierer, LG Kam Stutts, C Jalil Irvin, RG Tate Johnson, RT Alec Jackson, QB TJ Finley, RB Tank Bigsby, TEs fully rotated, WRs that rotated were Shed Jackson, Tar'Varish Dawson, Malcolm Johnson Jr.

-1st team defense was Donovan Kaufman, CB Nehemiah Pritchett, CB Jaylin Simpson, EDGE Derick Hall, EDGE Eku Leota, DT Marcus Harris, DT Colby Wooden, LB Wes Steiner, LB Cam Riley, S Caleb Wooden (who worked with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams), S Zion Puckett

-Owen Pappoe was super active on the field helping the defense and watching, Zach Calzada was behind every QB during their drills and trying to replicate it

-Robby had a TD drive stall in the red zone, TJ's first drive quickly stalled, Holden led a drive that stalled pretty quickly, too

-Tank broke off a big like 30-40 yard run

-It got a little scrappy at one point with the offense and defense going at it, but quickly broke up

-Oscar Chapman was working as a FG kicker for a little bit and did hit one

-The other kickers, McGuire and Ben Patton missed a combined 3, one was blocked. Kicking was not a plus today. Anders carefully worked off to the side and was drilling his kicks

-Landen King caught a fair amount of passes

-Jordon Ingram broke off a three-cut 20-yard TD

-Kick returners were: Donovan Kaufman & Nehemiah Pritchett / Jay Fair and Tank Bigbsy / Tar'Varish Dawson and Tank Bigbsy

-Caleb Wooden had a big INT off Holden in the end zone

-Marquise Gilbert had a big hit on Jordon Ingram trying to cut outside

-LB Joko Willis also really stood out with some big hits

quote:

Some more observations... ** Caleb Wooden played safety for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams. AU has no depth there. Cayden Bridges was the other starter on the 1st team.

** A number of guys were out with injuries today including the DL, which had two walk-ons starting with the 2nd team.

** QB rotation was TJ, Ashford and Holden. TJ had a nice pass to Shenker to set up the TD ** Overall, I thought defense won including a dominating performance inside the 5 when they knocked the offense back on a couple of plays in a row. There were also a bunch of sacks.

You can guess what the OL looked like for most of the day, but several of the expected starters were out there too

Sounds like the OL is still up to their old tricks. How we get trotting the same guys out there and expecting a different result I'm not sure I'll ever figure out.

Not sure how I feel about Tank at PR and KR. Actually I know exactly how I feel and I hate it . He's not fast enough imo and most importantly we can't risk injuring our best player on a PR/KR.

Everything else either sounds good or about as expected though.

Christian Clemente
@CClemente__
Bryan Harsin also says redshirt freshman EDGE Dylan Brooks had a couple of sacks today.

People improve year over year you fricking f aggot. I like the fact that we have 6-year OL. Tank needs to play all the special teams because he's nothing more than an average back who fumbles. He can't run behind a zone blocking OL.

Lmfao Why are you so upset. Calm down before you hurt yourself.

This OL is what it is. These guys aren't getting better at this point and every single one of us on here know it.

Oh you're just dumb. Never mind... Carry on.

Not really.

But it certainly is a convenient crutch that failures enjoy using as an excuse and that the weak-of-mind enjoy spreading.
