(edit) I didn't read your entire post. Yeah that's an eagle. That bird is huge.

yea, Ive had a lot of experience with bald eagles. He looks to be about 2 to 3 years old. No white on him yet. That fricker flew right over my pool cage about 10 feet and was massive. He grabbed that little duck off the water like it was a fricking M&M. No kidding. My wife was beside herself. We were sitting there watching the whole thing go down

Yea, its one thing for sure that I love down here is the house construction. The concrete walls and the ceramic tile roofs are just nice.

My new house will get the shingles soon. We elected to get the flat tile that overlaps like tar shingles over the round ones that this neighborhood has. Our neighborhood is a little more modern so we decided on the flat tile. I think it goes with our house better as well.

This is a model of our house and color. Construction is slow as hell here. Our roof tiles are exactly like this. When they put them on. Haha.

Fun fact: My wife is the world’s largest children’s retailer for AFTCO. We get to throw in some adult stuff every now and then.

Ordered a dozen buzzbaits. Of course the old Spotsticker website still doesn’t have the 3/16 buzzbaits on it. Which is good and bad. Good because I’m the only one that knows to order them. Bad because I have to remind Lanier to send the right ones every time.

Sorry. But the ones I usually sent you are actually 1/8oz. Not 3/16. Haha.

I still have some of those heads.

Thank you very much. Will get them done Monday.

I like that model a whole lot. I’ve seen where I can buy blueprints online for 1500 or so. I’ll be looking for something like this

Our floorplan is the Triumph. We did not get the second story. Just one floor, 3 bedrooms with a Den. The den will be my man/music/tv room. Has a huge master and a nice open room with kitchen, living room and dining area. Our kitchen is totally white with slight aqua blue accents. We got ceramic tile throughout the house. No carpet anywhere.

I like the floorplan. When you walk in the front door, you can see all the way through the house and out the big glass doors in the back to the pool area.

Looks nice. I need a tub for 2 in the master bath though, that's my only change.

I’m sucker for well designed outdoor space/thoughtful transition from inside to outside. Love that setup

Reverse sear prime rib and Belle Glos Pinot Noir. It's a good night!

Mine will be a little different than that. I designed a little larger set up. One 8 foot section of my outdoor kitchen will have a gas grill, a sink, and a refrigerator. Then I have an aerial section coming off of that which will be a bar set up that will have a flat top grill and another refrigerator. That section will parallel the pool so you can sit at the outside of the bar near the pool. Obviously this is for serving drinks and throwing parties....

Our home is 180 deg from the one shown. The lanai is the right side of the house and we will not have that center column on the lanai. They changed the header to a different type so its not needed which gave me a better space for the bar to extend out.

Yes we went overboard but frick it. Only live once.

Unfortunately, the master bath is not going to be as large as some homes we looked at. Its plenty big enough without the tub. If added it, it got tight in there.

We will just use the 8'x8' hot tub connected to the pool for relaxing.

We really do not use the tub that often

Looks great, what's your method/recipe/prep?

Give me a Malbec, syrah or a cab. Never been a Pinot fan.

Rub with sea salt, pepper, garlic, Montreal steak seasoning and put on a rack in a pan in the fridge over night uncovered. Take out 1-2 hrs before cooking depending on size. I did a little under an hour because I forgot but mine was only 3.4lbs. Preheat oven to 250F, put temp probe in thickest part not touching bone. I take out when reaches 115F but I like it RARE. Loosely cover with foil for 30 mins to rest. Turn oven to 500-550F. After rest and oven up to temp put in oven uncovered for 5-8 mins watching closely to brown outside. Cut and serve, no need to rest again.

And Kroger has them on sale this week $5.99/lb bone in.

Sounds yummy. I like super rare too and I haven't succeeded with a reverse sear yet. I've tried about 20 different ways and I always seem to nail medium rare.

Thanks for sharing. We are doing a stander this year. I have always done a filet stuffed with lobster. Excited for the change.
